SOROS: I'M DONE Donating to Democrats
George Soros, the billionaire financier who was an energetic Democratic donor in the last several election cycles but is sitting this one out, is not feeling optimistic about Democratic prospects.
“I made an exception getting involved in 2004,†Mr. Soros, 80, said in a brief interview Friday at a forum sponsored by the Bretton Woods Committee, which promotes understanding of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
“And since I didn’t succeed in 2004, I remained engaged in 2006 and 2008. But I’m basically not a party man. I’d just been forced into that situation by what I considered the excesses of the Bush administration.â€
Mr. Soros, a champion of liberal causes, has been directing his money to groups that work on health care and the environment, rather than electoral politics. Asked if the prospect of Republican control of one or both houses of Congress concerned him, he said: “It does, because I think they are pushing the wrong policies, but I’m not in a position to stop it. I don’t believe in standing in the way of an avalanche.â€

5. This party is in trouble.
First the party apparatchik alienate the progressives and "professional left". Now they're alienating the big money backers.
Not good.

I encourage you to explain who 'they' are and why you'd cast your narrow net within a website you so obviously dislike.
Also - what's YOUR agenda for dealing with the problems we seem to face, equally, but apparently separately???

10. Apparatchik doesn't mean communist.
The word originated in the USSR, but nowadays it's more often used a generic term for those who are "agents of the apparatus", or, more plainly, those who actively promote and defend the status quo. Those who place political loyalty above all else. The "My Party, Right or Wrong" types.

17. What a hoot! Updated at 2:52 PM
The replies to this news are pretty much all negative. The thread title is unkind to Soros. None of the comments are in his support. That may or may not be right, but that's the fact.
So instead of kicking this to the greatest page, where it will be seen by all and in that process hold Soros up for more derision, it gets unreced, keeping it hidden.
Seems to me that if one is unhappy with Soros, one would be inclined to rec this, not unrec it.
Oh well, that's why they make chocolate and vanilla. Different strokes for different folks.

If this is indeed true, the 2012 elections for the DNC will start heavily in the red.
Delicious.

Soros is going for plausable deniability IMHO. He has more front operations spreading disinformation out there coming to light every day, J-Street being the most recent. Hard to imagine the former Kapo getting out of politics when it has rewarded him so well.

And why shouldn't he? He's a capitalist, first and foremost. Whenever you see soros funding anything, it is done to make him more money.
He sold his Jewish heritage to collaborate with Nazis as a teenager, he crashes monetary values to create situations where he can pick up expensive things for next to nothing (ie the British Pound), he supports enviro and libtard causes to create environments where he can come in and snap up as much as possible, and supports candidates who believe in frigging up the US so they can **** up our economy and he can buy on the cheap.
Seems to be a bit of a pattern to that....
I would worry less about what he supports than what he has to gain; that's the real money trail to follow. This cat sold his soul very young and has no issues with continuing to do so because it's all about the almighty dollar. He doesn't give a shit about any cause other than amassing more wealth and power and the retarded left are his useful idiots. There is no wonder he's not going to contribute anymore, he no longer has a need for them. They've served their purpose.
He's not Jewish, not Christian, not Nazi. He's a morally and spiritually dead monster who is everything the DUmbasses claim to hate about capitalists but, since he shovels money at their "causes", he's acceptable. They think they may use him for his money to fund them but the truth is he uses them to do all the labor and dirty work. Talk about getting slapped instead of kissed...
They can spit on him and curse him for no longer supporting losers but he is theirs as much as they are his. Soros is the true face of the mindless evil that is modern liberalism.
-
WOW! The DUmmies sure do have their panties in a twist over this, huh?!!? HA HA!! :cheersmate:
I don't believe the post at all. Soros will continue to fund till he sees that America has fallen. I hate to say it, but true. I hope I am wrong.

Wouldn't working class include anyone who is working from CEO to the high school student flipping burgers part time? They all have these cute little phrases borrowed from Marx, made far-left "mainstream" of the 60's and they just can't let go.

The Dems take care of the workin' class? WOW! Sure could have fooled me! I thought they took care of the welfare class!
And here all this time I thought the phrase: "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn", came from "Gone With The Wind"!
What a loony tune!

Jail? Hell, if this was the 60's, he would have taken up residency in the cemetery already! Not sure, but I'll lay odds Britain entertained they idea already! Only thing I can think of that stops them is, nobody can keep a frikkin' secret when it comes to gubmint anymore!
