Obama has the book thrown at him: Moment a missile narrowly misses U.S. President's head (and what's with the naked man?)

This is the astonishing moment a book was apparently hurled at the head of U.S. President Barack Obama during a campaign rally in Philadelphia.
The flying missile narrowly missed hitting the President yesterday.
It is not clear what the book was, where it came from in the crowd, or why it was thrown at Mr Obama - who did not appear to notice the danger.

The image shows how clueless he is - unlike GWB, who did a pretty nimble dodge of the shoe thrown at him by that journalist a few years ago.

I just saw a photo of this, you can see his Secret Service guy looking up at something.

this is about the dumbest excuse imaginable. the thrower had written the book, and wanted to Teh Messiah to read it. personally, I would have probably just mailed it to him.
Book thrower questioned after Obama incident
WASHINGTON — A man threw a book towards US President Barack Obama after a campaign rally in Philadelphia, and was detained by Secret Service Agents, an official said Monday.
The man was later released without charge, after an investigation found that he had meant no threat to the president, Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan said.
Television pictures showed the paperback book sailing through the air close to Obama after the rally on Sunday, one of a series of events leading up to mid-term elections, though the president did not appear to notice it.
The man, who was not named, was described by Donovan as an "over exuberant" supporter who wanted the president to read a copy of a book he had written.

Spokesman Ed Donovan said the man had written the book and hoped the president would read it. Donovan said agents concluded the man posed no danger.

Seems odd, doesn't it? They just let him go after he hurls a book at the POTUS?? (I use that term, POTUS very loosely.) I would have thought there would have been some sort of penalty.
