If the Democrats keep the House and Senate...?

...what type of changes would you want to see?

Do you want them to continue governing as they have for the last 2 years? Or would you like to see something different?

What specific changes would you like to see in the House or Senate?

If they win, are you happy with the direction the Party is going?

If they lose, do you think they should change anything? Should they come back after the election and extend the Bush taxcuts for the middle-class and the wealthy? What do you think?

Thinking the primitives can think is like thinking franksolich can become pregnant.

4. Americans want a robust public option, repeal of DADT, serious finance reform, prosecution on the MERS mortgage fraud, prosecution of BP execs, lobbyist reform, and energy independence, for starters.

Basically, the same stuff we ran on in 2008. Think we can accomplish that?

5. We definitely need to make it harder to filibuster in the Senate...

Something as simple as actually requiring the Senators doing the filibustering to stand up and talk non-stop, like they did back in the day, would go a long way. People would then see in a very direct way why Congress isn't getting anything done.

I tell you what--franksolich suspects that after January 3, 2011, the primitives are going to love the filibuster more than the primitives love their mothers.

7. +1. . The Senate rules sure do need a little tweaking, that's for sure.

"Secret holds" rule has GOT to go!

And the 60 threshold needs to come down.

I tell you what--franksolich suspects that after January 3, 2011, the primitives are going to love the filibuster more than the primitives love Mike Malloy or Thom Hartman.

12. Agree 100%

So much could've gotten done by now if it wasn't for that.

I tell you what--franksolich suspects that after January 3, 2011, the primitives are going to love the filibuster more than the primitives love the Big Zero.

9. A Dem Senate Will Need a Head cracker for a leader... and not the Reid style of never ending negotiation and compromising.

Now, when has Scary Reid ever "negotiated" or "compromised"?

Anybody know?

10. I want to see them quit pandering to republicans, blue dogs, centrists, independents, and other neoliberals and neoconservatives, and corporate donors, and start some change I can believe in.

11. We are going to need the blue dogs.

If the Democrats end up with a greatly reduced majority, they are going need to wheel and deal with the blue dogs. I don't like it one bit, but it is the way it is going to be.

I'm an American, and I don't want any of that crap.

What is wrong with these people?  Why do they think that their own kook fringe 5% represent all of the United States?

4. Americans want a robust public option

No, we don't.

repeal of DADT

No, we don't.

serious finance reform

Serious finance reform does not include any of the anti-business / "power to the people" bullshit you tards pushed through.

Quote
prosecution on the MERS mortgage fraud

Only if it involves hanging ever damned democrat that took money and/or favors from mortgage companies while blocking any effort to reign in the democrat piggy bank (Fannie and Freddie).

Quote
prosecution of BP execs

They paid for the cleanup and gave hussein his "tribute"; what the **** more do you want?

Quote
lobbyist reform

I agree.  I think Tommy and Linda Daschle need to actually work for a living.

Quote
and energy independence

Gonna be kind of tough to do that when all of the people who know how to extract, process, refine, and distribute energy commodities are all in jail, DUmbass.

Oh, I dunno.  Seems to me the "same stuff we ran on in 2008" isn't doing so well in 2010.  I think that the American People who sought to assuage their white guilt in 2008 are not willing to completely sacrifice the country in the name of your political correctness any longer.  Reality is truly a cold, hard bitch and they got a full dose of it.

But, by all means, don't let it stop your trip through fantasy land.

10% unemployment just ain't good enough for these nanny staters!

When the American people take back the congress, I'm lobbyin' for a huntin' season on those responsible for puttin' us into this tar pit! We can start with  baby O'Bumbler, Harry, and Nancy!
