Did the Tea Party peak with Beck's rally in Washington?

Looks to me like they, the Tea-baggers, have shot their wad. The parties' over, and now the big money has moved in in force and the result? The Tea-baggers have been tossed aside. Good riddance to old trash as far as I'm concerned but its a much different question as to how everyday Americans will react to a full frontal assault of the arrogance of the rich.

I do not think there has been another time in my near half century of voting when so many people were being convinced to vote against their own self interest.

keep telling yourself the TEA party is going away.
that way on Nov 3 you will be shocked.

They are still jealous that Beck had more people than the 400 socialist and communist organizations that put together 10-2-10.

I'm rather, uh, dubious of any "analysis" by the mountain man primitive.

After all, he's pretty old and soft, and doesn't have a good track-record.

We'll see.

Speaking of the last individual that is in any position to claim to know what's in other people's best interest.....

I am beginning to think that the DUmbass who is brave enough to say this to a conservative (who is within and arm's reach) is as hard to spot as Bigfoot.

I cannot wait until election day!!! They have not seen anything yet.  Their greatest fears are about to be realized and the magic mooslem will be neutered.

And on NOvember 3rd there will be hundreds of stories from the dutiful media of how the Tsunami is the end of the Tea Party...because when you are successful you quit. It is the same logic that Gitmo makes terrorists and putting criminals in prison only makes more criminals.

Agreed with both of you. Though 69 million people DID vote for the president and the party who caused all this.

What they're failing to realize (on purpose because it would blow their tiny little minds) is that the Tea Party IS made up of regular Americans. People who thin ks their best interests are best decided by themselves. The government only gets in the way of liberty. The only thing positive about the past 2 (maybe 4) is that it woke up the masses and it's heartwarming and encouraging to see the spirit of our founders still lives in each of us. It's sad that it took so long and such a radical president and congress but it happened. People fret that we can't pull ourselves back from this but considering our history not only can we, but we must. If we send men and women into war zone the least we can do is give them a country they recognize to come home to.

This is what passes for insightful, hard-hitting political "analysis" at the DUmp.  Some idiot types something and declares it to be true.  Not a scrap of evidence or support in sight.  Back in 8th grade, when we were learning how to write a proper essay, my teacher would have scrawled a big ugly F all over Thom's dopey little internet post and thrown it back at him.  (Her name was Miss Bush, and she was the greatest.)

Yes DUmmies, the Tea Party has peaked and therefore there is no need at all for you to vote in November. Republican enthusiasm is spent and the elections will be a walkover for you, why not spark up a celebratory spliff on election day morning so as better to enjoy your huge win.  :-)

We'll see soon enough.

In my representatives district it's baically 30% black and 70% white. John Spratt has 30% of the vote right off the bat. Mick Mulvaney has to get a 50+% majority out of 70% of the voters.

So what's that ...He has to get 72% of the white vote to beat Spratt...that's a tough row to hoe. John Spratt is running ads telling people that Mulvaney wants to declare Social Security illegal and arrest old people.....desperate S.O.B. ain't he.
