Title: income-tax brackets
Post by: franksolich on October 09, 2010, 02:40:51 PM
As a general rule, I don't bring threads from freerepublic over here, because some members here are also members of freerepublic, and those who aren't, probably nearly all of them read freerepublic anyway.

However, this discussion on income-tax brackets today, I found particularly good.

I'm preparing to write an article about Liberal myths and lies concerning Bush Reagan and Obama and I keep coming back to this claim that liberals have been making on youtube and several other places that in the 1950s taxes on the wealthy were at an all time high and our economy was flourishing. Any old timers from that bygone era care to comment? Has anyone heard this?

It's well worth going over there to read the comments.

Well, in '54 or '55 I saw my daddy cry because we were about to lose everything. If the economy was so great, why was he crying?

Stupid DUmmies, economics are for adults.
