CNN’s Rick Sanchez is not happy with being made fun of constantly on The Daily Show and Colbert Report. It is from this jumping off point that he absolutely unleashed on Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and at times his own network, on Pete Dominick’s satellite radio show yesterday.
The big takeaway – Sanchez calls Stewart “a bigot,†then walks it back a bit, and he implies CNN is run by Jews.
Dominick was not just a radio show host – he is a CNN contributor who has a regular gig on John King, USA (more on that below), and he formerly was the warm up comic at The Daily Show. Which is why when Sanchez says “I think Jon Stewart’s a bigot†early in the interview, Dominick pushed back:
Dominick: How is he a bigot?
Sanchez: I think he looks at the world through, his mom, who was a school teacher, and his dad, who was a physicist or something like that. Great, I’m so happy that he grew up in a suburban middle class New Jersey home with everything you could ever imagine.
Dominick: What group is he bigoted towards?
Sanchez: Everybody else who’s not like him. Look at his show, I mean, what does he surround himself with? ...

I think Rick Sanchez desperately wants to be Keith Olbermann.
He's a dimwitted moron... reading the news off a teleprompter suits him.
-
Mind you, this is the guy that had to backtrack on spreading false statements about Limbaugh pining for teh days of slavery because--you know--bigotry is bad or something.
Bigotry is OK if lefties are doing it and the target happens to be Jews.
Jews better wake-up fast and realize the Left is playing them for patsies. The Left will throw them to radical Islam just to bolster radical Islam enough to weaken America because at the end of the day destroying America is key to the internationalists.

Actually, he even fails in that simple task:

And he's a drunk who killed an innocent pedestrian with his car.

So this explains the $100 gift card I go the other day. Its cleverly disguised as a Verizon rebate card but now I know its my secret cut of CNN's profits.

The DUmp is all over this. There are multiple threads posted about it (why do they do that? Why not just join the discussion?) It seemed too boring to bring over to the DUmp, though.
-
CNN released this statement today:
“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“

I guess he isn't popular at the DUmp either. The "Rick Sanchez Got Fired" thread in LBN has 10 recs with only 4 responses.

Rick, I hear McDonalds is hiring.

Yes, he can work in the drive over--I mean--drive-THRU window.

At least Keither Olbermann is true to himself. I am not a fan of him or anything.

Since Lil Ricky has a lot of time on his hands now, maybe he can serve that prison time he should have done for DUI manslaughter/hit-n-run.

I wonder if CNN is going to keep his Twitter account open.
The peanut gallery is entertaining: http://twitter.com/ricksanchezcnn/con-idiocy-winners

CNN Fires Rick Sanchez After Comments About Jews, Jon Stewart (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x4561189)
Holy shit, these people are too dumb to breathe. There's just too much stupid to pick from.

50. Rick Sanchez is in need of a bit of psychotherapy. He may have been on cocaine. I hope he gets back on his feet. But if he goes to Fux, the bet's off!

8. Over the line, and I'm guessing he was questionable as a rep of CNN for a while.
Of late, his segments have been as much about Rick Sanchez as they have been about news stories being covered.

98. but Sanchez is a liberal, isn't he????
I always thought he sounded very Progressive.
Am I wrong?
His comments were neither liberal or conservative---they were STUPID and RECKLESS. I agree with the previous poster who said that he sounded coked up. He really did. He was totally on a roll saying so many bizarre things that no sober person would ever say--especially a CNN anchor.
Quite weird.

24. Hang on a sec, Rick Sanchez got instantly fired for calling Jon Stewart a bigot?
How long did Lou "The Real Bigot" Dobbs stay on for before he decided to leave?

38. Perhaps that was just the final straw in a entire bale of straws.... and there were remarks about ALL JEWS and their owning and running all the media.
Sanchez made no mention however, of how many of the neocons are/were Jewish.

34. Some people hold all the cards and you don't ever want to cross them
Those are the facts and Sanchez should have known better. I've never been a big fan of Sanchez because I view him as more racist than neutral just like La Raza and any other race based organization. You must be ethnically neutral instead of ethnocentric, otherwise you qualify as racist.
That's what the blacks thought about whites in the 60s. If you were a black executive in the 60s you would never ever say that whites controlled the corporation even if they did.
Wolf Blitzer as an ex-AIPACer must have an opinion on all of this. I saw him and Rick the other day involved on CNN in an ad hoc discussion about a bus crash in DC.
Our US government in its infinite wisdom once kept score about gender and ethnicity in corporations mainly to ensure that racism and representation was appropriate to demographics. Do you think such an effort would be worthwhile in government and the media to ensure balance? Representation is about power. If it is balanced then power is balanced. If it is unbalanced then someone is getting royally screwed.
