Oh, have I found a way to needle repugs......
Trying to explain 'the tragedy of the commons' to a repug at work when a idea popped out of my mouth, "Your free-loaders". Instantly every repug in the store is all over me, my simile is a mile wide and I can't stop laughing. Repugs want to have every possible use of common resources, while passing all the cost of maintaining those on to some one else. And they can't stand to acknowledge the fact of this behavior.

1. Good for you!
I love it when people figure this out.
And I love it when Pubbies complain about taxes... I say, just stop paying them! And you can stop using the roads, parks, police, fire department, libraries, schools...
They just don't understand that we're already knee deep in socializm... and it's a good thing.
Trust me, if I could stop paying the taxes that fund your welfare check, I would.

2. They are the biggest welfare queens in existence
They want all the goodies that the government provides, they just don't want to pay for it.

The whole thread is good for a LOL.

WOW! the stupidity of that thread, and I think it's :bs: because Regressives don't smile, they're too unhappy.

What do you mean "your free-loaders?" I don't own any free-loaders.
Oh, you meant "you're free-loaders." I see your spelling is right in line with your inability to think, primitive.

Police and military are welfare?
Don't laugh--according to a certain former poster and current lurker (**cough** bkg **cough**), that's exactly what they were.

Once again they're making up bouncies in their empty little heads based on fantasies they found at the bottom of a bottle of MD20/20 and a Cheetos bag. FYI you stupid cow...some costs of running the country are mandated in the constitution, i.e. the military & interstate commerce. We all get a return on our tax dollars that benefit everyone. Other services like police, fire, parks, etc. are state & local issues, NOT federal. That means individual communities can decide what priorities are important to them. Park upkeep may be important to my county while buying new library books may be more important to the one next door. Another may decide neither is worth an increase in taxes. If I don't like the priorities of my county (or state), I can vote with my feet and move to some place that more reflects my values. When the feds get involved I lose my freedom and my voice because no matter where I go I'm paying for things that I don't want nor do I think are necessary. A good example is the fed's involvement in education. Everyone complains about schools, we keep throwing money at them, they don't improve and we're constantly told it's because we haven't given enough of our tax dollars to them. Yet, just the other day we learned that DC public schools get almost as much per student as those attending the private school the first daughters attend. So it appears throwing money at the problem hasn't worked. Citizens are overruled by powerful teachers' unions who throw money at feds, executive or congressional and no one gives a rip what we think. We pay salaries of government employees, teachers, and per student costs but have absolutely NO say in the quality of education, let alone what we do and don't want taught. That's pretty much taxation without representation. Oh, and GOVERNMENT doesn't provide ANY goodies, the American tax payer does. Get a clue. Dipshit!

The DUmmies always try and throw roads, military, police and fire departments into the mix as socialism. I see them as being covered under "general welfare, and defense". The DUmmies try and claim the "general welfare" to mean individual healthcare.

If I swung "that" way I would totally be hot for you.

I have an idea, DUmbass Dummie!
How 'bout we restrict the infrastructure to those who actually pay frikkin' taxes, ya DUmbass? Hell our interstates would last years longer since the drug dealers y'all depend on, never pay taxes!
These shitheads never think their policies thru!

Now that is kinky!!!!! But, I approve, just like most perverts my age!
I know, I know, men are pigs!

Actually, if I remember my history correctly, the founders justified the construction of roads in the country under the Postal system, which IS a mandate in the Constitution.......without roads, the mail could not be delivered in a timely manner. I'm certain that use by the military for defense was in the back of their minds, but they were also (at least to some extent) not in favor of a "standing Army", that consideration was therefore minimized.
If you travel (or live) in any of the original thirteen colonies, the name "Post Road" is a common reference even today, for those that survived the period.
Further, roads that were constructed across state lines were frequently "toll" roads, and referred to as "turnpikes", the routes of many remain today, however unlike today, once the construction was paid for, the tolls were removed.

For people who claim to love socialism they apparently have no idea what it means or what a socialist country looks like.

Yeah those of us who want to work for a living and provide for ourselves are the free loaders while, the people who don't want to work for anything are not. :mental:
Just wait until they have their little rally this weekend the difference will be huge from the Beck event.
The Beck event was full of hard working, tax paying productive citizens. the forth coming rally will all be people holding their hands out saying, "Gimme".
-
If they ever get their wish, they'll soon find out how much less they'll have without the "greedy conservatives" around to pay the bills. :lmao:

OHHHH REALLLLLYYYYYYY?!?!?! Knee deep in socialism already?!? Umm,,......dipshit! I think you're confusing paying taxes for public services as socialism. That could not be further from the truth! Not even close. Socialism is the HELLCARE that the bumbler in the White House passed. Wait till your health care costs go up, then you can thank your bumbler for that lovely piece of socialism. Not to mention how crappy the services will be. That is just the tip of the iceberg dipshit! He does this for the "collective". Not the individuals "freedom to choose". Don't like it, go live with Chavez or go live in North Korea or Cuba. :bird: :censored:

Police and military are welfare?
They are working at least to earn money. So to them working is freeloading? :mental:

Fine. I admit it. I'm a welfare queen.
But I'd also like to add that I get up at 5:15am every morning, leave around 7:05am to take my baby to daycare, get to work around 7:45-7:50am, work until 4:30pm, pick up my baby around 4:50pm, and finally get home around 5:15pm.
I am so glad tomorrow is the first of the month! My gubbment check will arrive!!

But I live in Las Vegas. And that's all that should matter. I want my welfare check so I can go gamble.
