that would ignore who's money it is in the first place. the taxpayer worked, earned that money, and perhaps even created wealth in the process of making that money. everyone wins.
it may increase the deficit, but if that is the case, then slash government spending. government spending creates NOTHING anyway; it spends a dollar borrowed or a dollar taxed, and both are economically unproductive, perhaps even destructive .
and listening to the people that turned "trillion dollar expense" into a household phrase bitch about the deficit is infuriating.

It is an arrogance of government elitists to the hilt.
I feel the same when I hear it.
-
Well, if the fed ever does what England is considering , then all the money would belong to the government and they give us what they think we deserve.
-
I heard Obama say the other day "I wish I could give everyone a tax cut but we can't afford it".
I......I......I, like it's his money.

Being liberal means never having to be honest or truthful or reasonable or logical or sane. In fact, all those attributes work against being liberal. Anybody who can at least marginally think and has a modicum of self-honesty cannot remain a liberal forever.
It is telling that many young people who think they are liberal stop being liberal once they enter the real world while those that stay in academia or enter the bureaucracy tend to degenerate.

the deficit is about more than merely money.
in this case, the central government is picking winners and losers; they are, in FACT, trying to tell us how much money is "enough" money.
I don't want to live in a country like that.
-
but the central government telling us what to do is about our essential liberties. whatever Washington decides for us, we cannot decide for ourselves.
-
How in the world can liberals claim that tax cuts "cost" anything?
The exact same way they can claim that a 2% raise in funding for a program instead of a 5% raise in funding for a program is a 3% "cut".
-
Leftists don't seem to understand profit and loss - how can you expect them to understand cost and return.

Very true. :hi5:

They get that from the same part of the anal cavity, where they get that the rich steal from the poor.
