Both are yummy. But the correct answer is waffles. Like Mitch Hedburg said "waffles are like pancakes with syrup traps". Mmmm!!
-
Waffles, made with Belgian waffle mix...they are lighter. Lots of melted butter and hot roasted pecan syrup. :-)
-
I recently got a Black and Decker waffle/griddle iron, and a box of Krusteze belgian mix... haven't had the chance to make any yet.
-
pancakes.
-
Waffles. It has been years since I have had one. Yes I said years.

Me, too, other than the few and far between Eggo waffle.
-
So glad MOST of y'all answered correctly.
My husband made pancakes for supper last night. I hadn't had any in a while. They were very good, but they were not waffles. We have a waffle maker. I think it is time to pull that sucker back out.
Also, if y'all haven't tried this, try adding brown sugar to your pancakes. It makes it even yummier. I wouldn't think the same with waffles though.
-
I keep a box of instant waffle mix in a cupboard. They're not as good as fresh waffles from scratch, but they're pretty good after a six pack or two.
I broke the hinge on my cheap plastic waffle iron after it fell in the sink. :(
-
A couple of each please!!!! lol :-)
-
Crepes with Nutella filling.
However, if I MUST choose, then Belgian waffles it is.
I think you are mean to make us chose though. :hammer: :rotf:

I know. It's like choosing between sex and sex. Kinda hard to choose! ;)

pancakes. waffles are conformists. :uhsure:
-
Pancakes. With blueberries INSIDE the cakes, not smeared all over the top with whipped frickin' cream. :bitchslap:
Yuck.
Pancakes. Butter. Blueberries. Blueberry syrup.
Questions? :nunchuck:

How can you actually type those words out on your computer without wearing a frilly tutu?
Uh.....Please tell me you're not wearing a tutu.
please?
-
Fresh made waffles, not frozen waffles.
-
Had frozen waffles when my niece stayed with her grandma a while ago. Nasty stuff.
Yeah, I know you're supposed to heat them first.
-
I can't remember the last time I had either. I am a bacon/eggs/hashbrowns or grits kind of girl.
I will say pancakes. My most favorite are buckwheat pancakes, with real butter and molasses. I haven't had them since I was a kid.
Oh yeah, and bacon on the sid please.
-
Waffles, non-Belgian! I hate the Belgian waffles with their super deep pits.
Peanut butter and maple syrup on mine, thanks

I use the Krusteze Belgian Waffle mix with my regular waffle maker. If I let the mixed up batter sit for about 10-15 minutes, the batter will rise and make the waffles even lighter. I have just a basic waffle maker...Proctor-Silex maybe. It's white plastic-y exterior, and teflon type inside...makes four waffles and doesn't do anything else. Works just fine. :-)

You know, you can make mess free bacon on that thing, just put a shallow pan under the drip spout. You can also make awesome grilled cheese sandwiches, way better than you can get from a skillet...

Mine doesn't have switchable insides...it only has the fixed waffle sides.

True. But then again, you have to have some skills before you're accepted in the Army band program.
:fuelfire: :-)

Soon as I saw B/D in you post I thought of a pic received using a cordless drill to mix pancakes. :uhsure:
I mean why not?? I often use one to mix paint.
-
This thread is making me want waffles!!!!!
They are not on the diet....which I haven't been sticking to very well the last 2 weeks. :banghead:
-
I've never been big on either but I make both for the kid -- he still needs to carbo-load!
My mom always made waffles at dinner when we had leftover roast chicken from a Sunday night.

Not what I heard......... ;)
While I enjoyed playing music, I didn't see that (being a musician) as a viable career EXCEPT IN the military. I really didn't plan on making the military a career to begin with. It just worked out that way.
-
Either will work for me. I have a nice waffle maker and a super cast iron pancake griddle living side-by-side in my cabinet. I use both whenever the mood strikes me.
"Can't we all just get along"? [/DhimmiRINO mode]
-
Standard waffle mix, half-and-half instead of milk, plenty of melted butter, pure cane syrup, and a tall, cold glass of milk... Heaven!!! :-)
-
Mine doesn't have switchable insides...it only has the fixed waffle sides.
And? You USE the waffle side, it gives the grilled cheese a funky, stylish texture

After working at a Waffle House I would say neither tend to skip breakfast and foods that resemble a breakfast meal
-
I'm pancake preferring. Buckwheat is my favorite followed closely by Bisquick. There's something about waffles I've never quite cottoned to.

Haha! I guess so! I love the Waffle House though! I am a glutton when I go. I get the All-Star, and I always feel sick when I leave from eating sooooo much. Cheesy scrambled eggs, waffle, grits, bacon, toast...Mmm! But yeah, I wouldn't ever eat it again if I worked there I am sure.

I know. It's like choosing between sex and sex. Kinda hard to choose! ;)
Sex with men versus sex with women. No, that would not be a difficult choice for me, given that I've no desire to try the former and haven't done so up to this point in my life.
After all, I'M not an airedale.
But back O/T. On the incredibly rare occasions when I eat them, waffles. With PURE Vermont (or NH) maple syrup.
-
Both............I'm not racist
-
Waffles ... with chocolate chips an pecans an powdered sugar an blueberries an ....

Pancakes. The thick kind.
For those of you in the DFW area, head on down to All Good Cafe in Deep Ellum. They have the best pancakes I've ever tasted. Super thick and they used to be the size of dinner plates. They come with eggs and bacon or sausage. I spent many Saturdays there with my sister. Good times.
