It seems you're a sucker for a brown-eyed girl, same as I am.

The family raises beagles and had seven pups from two mothers. The guy let them all loose, and the pups were trying to get the moms to let them nurse, but both moms have dried up.  This little girl got nipped by one of the moms and just sat there while the others continued the chase. We walked over, Ginny picked her up and the pup licked her face. It was done deal at that moment.

She already let her voice be heard on the trip home. Our last two dogs were beagles, so I know what to expect.  They make good watch dogs, and people think it's a much bigger dog on the other side of the door when they knock. They aren't the brightest of dogs, but they make up for that in friendliness and loyalty, imo.

Beagles are incredibly good at getting what they want (what some see as stubborn I have actually decided is an interesting determination to get what they want).  You will be trained in no time. :rotf:

I never did figure out how the brown eyed girl ended up with the Barcalounger but darn she didn't.  First words out a mamma geist's mouth when Daisy came home were "Not on the couch".  Daisy dutifully hopped into the recliner, hang dog look on face. :hammer:  Game over.

Daisy rarely barks, unlike my last beagle who had a great voice (well some neighbors might take exception to that but what do they know?).

No way, thundley.  You're making miss my beagle.  I remember her when she was that age.

Very very cute.

The former Mrs. Wiggum went to the pet store the morning after our honeymoon.  There was a litter of eight beagles, 4 males & 4 females.  The ex picked out the "best" one, and had her marked so I could go make my choice that evening.  I picked the same one.

And they know they're cute, too.  They can be quite a ball of energy when they're puppies.  And as adults too.

Holy crap, I think I just threw up a little.  :-)

Kidding...she is A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E.!!!!

It's times like this I wish I knew photoshop....the way Tara is looking off into the distance, I'm wishing I could photoshop her into that insipid "HOPE" bullshit poster.

THAT would be puppies I could believe in! :-)

Cute dog! Will you train it to attack rabbits, gyrfalcons, and stoats?

We have plenty of rabbits around and even  the occasional ground hog, but she won't be a hunter.

Your avatar is creepy.

Oh and I LOVE Beagles!  They are so adorable.  I wish we lived in Illinois right now.  My husband totally needs to get that job so we can move and I can go get a puppy!!!!

I can say stubborn, is that close enough?   We've been taking her outside every few hours during yesterday and today, and no messes in the house yet.  She slept through the night and was quiet.
