Why are we talking about tax cuts? Why are we NOT talking about raising taxes? Updated at 4:14 PM
See, here's the thing. By stalling a vote on the Bush tax cuts' expiring, the repubicans are trying to RAISE TAXES on the country.
Am I missing something?
The one major thing you're missing is a brain.
Remind me about who controls congress?

5. I feel I am paying more than my fair share of taxes already
If you want to talk about raising them on everyone but me, that would be OK.
But I though taxes were patriotic and the cost of living in a civilized society.

13. the votes are up to Pelosi and Reid to schedule. how are the (R)s stalling the vote?
We could have a vote tomorrow if our leadership decided to do it.
IS reality setting in?

A rare moment of honesty. I don't know whether to commend him or punch him in the dick.

So for ten years there have been these evil UNFUNDED BUSH TAX CUTS and now it is the EVIL BUSH TAX HIKES?
I predict that every day until 11/2/10 there will be a new a deranged concept that prove that liberalism truly is a mental disease.

Hey Stinky, glad you really got a grasp on things. Raise taxes?! Have you seen/felt the recession in the last 2+ years at all you libtard?!
Like someone said earlier, besides missing a brain, you're missing common sense/knowledge. :bird:

It'll go longer than that--it'll be at least until 11/6/12.

A lousy Freeper Teabagger!!! TEA stands for Taxed Enough Already!!! Alert! Alert! Ban! Ban!
I tire of Stinky rapidly. I don't believe he'll make my list this year, as he bores me. He always tries to spice up his posts with lots of "****s." This is unimpressive.
Anyway, the recession did not touch Stinky, as he is wealthy enough to afford health insurance that costs $25K per year. Very handsome insurance.

I foresee the tax cuts expiring and then the dems reintroducing them and calling them the Obama tax cuts.

Stinky gets my vote as DUmbass of the Century.

It would be hard to do that, because they expire on January 1, 2011 . . . and the new Congress (Republican-controlled, if the tsunami that a lot of people think will happen does happen) will take effect on January 3rd, 2011. The Dems won't be able to get anything done in time.

What would prevent the lame-ducks from passing a tax cut bill to take effect January 1st? They let the old expire, but have their new bill waiting in the wings.

The last thing that the donks will do during the lame duck session is lower taxes. I am begining to get a very bad feeling about what vengeful liberals will do during this time.
Don't be surprised if Card Check, Cap and Tax, and other huge public union bailout bills get passed. Don't be surprised if Murkowski and Bennett vote with the communists.

I vote we kick 'em all in the nutz! Especially Pelosi and Reid! After all, I'd be willin' to bet Pelosi's are bigger than Reid's, or O'bama's, for that matter!

Don't forget amnesty for illegals.

To tell ya truth, I think they'll be way more timid! At least the Dems that are lookin' to keep their seats in 2012. I doubt seriously if "Vampire Pelosi" could come anywhere near the majority she needs to wipe her ass, let alone actually pass a bill with new taxes tagged along with it!

I gotta agree with ya, AR. Plus, there's three special elections for Senate seats. Those winners get sworn in immediately. As in, in time for the lame-duck session. Over 40 Republicans--nothing happens, even with Lindsey Graham. Why? Ben Nelson, for one.

I agree Jukin. I can almost guarantee that Cap & Tax will be passed. That will have such a dramatic effect on the economy and people's lives, I don't even want to think about it. :mental: :mental:

Very good point. That would be a slap in the face to every American and every immigrant that had done things the RIGHT WAY!
