Paul has a lot of flaws but at least he understands the problem, which is a lot better than the NeoCons, who don't have a clue.

I understand spending very well.
However you sound like you don’t understand it so let me 'splain it to you.
The friggin government collects and spends too ******* much of our money. It about one-third the GNP. Maybe you, McCain and Gramn think that is acceptable but I don't.
No Republican or Democrat has the balls to actually cut back on the total cost of government. When a President like Reagan cuts back on the RATE of growth then weak minded morons, like obviously yourself, think that is the same as actually cutting the total size of the government, which it ain't. Not by a long shot.
To further your education let me also mention that the government is not satisfied with spending one third of the GNP on pork barrel projects and government union workers, they spend MORE than they collect. Our government is in debt to almost ten trillion dollars. That is with a NeoCon and his party in charge of the government for the last six of seven years.
McCain voted for the deficit budgets and his little pork barrel projects. He is as worthless on economics as Phil Gramn or GW Bush or any other NeoCon out there.
They just don't understand or care about the damage this tremendous budget and deficit is doing to our economy and we are all going to suffer for it.
Speaking of suffering I am not going to suffer the NeoCon fools any more. I expect that stupidly from the Liberals but I am not going to give my vote to anybody again that doesn't show me that he or her actually understand that we need to substantial reduce the Federal budget and only spend what we take in. McCain doesn't understand that and neither does Phil Gramn. At least Phil Gramn didn't demonstrate that understanding while working the job.
name ONE president that has reduced federal spending these past 225 years....
name ONE ....
and you may win a prize

Talk is cheap. Action speaks.
Reagan increased the Federal budget and Gramn was his main man in doing the dirty deed. At the end of the day his "understanding" of the budget meant more spending, more taxes and the deficit would increase.
He may "understand" the concept of a balanced budget but when given the opporunity to actually implement one he became weak minded like all NeoCons.
NeoCons like Gramn and McCain have lost all their credibility. At least they lost the credibility to those that have bothered to think a little bit

If you really are "Constitutionally speaking" then you would remember that the writers of the Constitution warned us of foreign entanglements.
You do know that the old Soviet Union went bankrupted with their foreign entanglements, don’t you?
Don’t you think we should limit our foreign entanglements to those few that actually affect the direct security of the US?
What is crazy about that idea?
Wow comparing the US to the USSR......................no the Soviet Union didn't go bankrupt due to foreign entaglements...........they went bankrupt because they were COMMUNIST

Why was Iraq singled out when there were a half dozen other countries that were just as belligerent to the US, including Iran and Syria?
Nobody that attacked the US on 9/11/01 was sent there by Saddam. None of them were Iraqis, were they?
We had already beaten Saddam's ass for screwing around with our oil supply, hadn't we?
What was the threat to the US in 2003 from Saddam Hussein that warranted sending a 200,000 man invading army that is still there almost six years later. According to McCain we will be there for another 100 years.
What did the lives of 4,000 of the finest young men and women buy the citizens of the US?
Why was Bush so ******* anxious to attack Iraq when the people that ordered 9/11 were in Afghanistan and the people that actually carried out the attack were mostly from Saudi Arabia?
I have no idea why we invaded Iraq, do you? Surely it couldn’t be because Saddam was disobeying some silly little UN sanction, could it? Is that worth the deaths of 4,000 Americans?
Damn..................did I row over to the wrong Island this morning

Iraq shot at our planes flying Southern Watch a hundred times more than any Israeli naval event, and Saddam had paid hard cash to families of bomb-vest-wearing som-bitches for the last half dozen years. Securing a foothold in Iraq makes as much common sense as securing Sicily during WWII.
Not one som-bitch was Iraqi that flew a plane into the twin towers. Everyone of them cock suckers were fundamentalist types of islam. Saudi Arabia nobility should take more care of their people, but until they do, you gonna invade Saudi Arabia? Nuke the ****ing Haj? yeah, that will make the muslims happy.
Ever hear of the Domino effect? It works both ways.
We stopped too damned early in 1991. I was there then, and ****ing happy to finish it off, too. Crwal back in your shell if you are too much of a ***** to bring the moral light of clarity to the people of the world, rather than to white christian southern types.
4.000 sons and daughters of this great nation died to bring the hope of freedom to somewhere else. **** you for shitting on their deaths.
Don’t pull that NeoCon bullshit with me.
There were no WMDs of such a threat to the US to warrant sending one of the strongest invading forces ever in the history of the world.
These WMDs that you claim you stumbled over were no threat to the citizens of the US even if they existed at some low level. Where were the delivery systems? Where was the intent to kill Americans? Where was the attack on America or the smoking gun that said Saddam was going to attack America? Where are the dead Americans? What the hell were even concerned with the Middle East other than to buy oil?
It is a bullshit reason and you know it.
I suspect 50% of the countries in the world has WMDs. I suspect that of the countries that do have them at least half are belligerent to the US including Iran and Syria. Your suck buddies the Israelis have WMDs and a proven record of attacking the US and inflicting tremendously harmful intelligence damage but yet we didn’t invade them.
We had a reason to send troops to the Middle East in 1991 because Saddam was screwing with our oil supply. We had a reason to send troops to Afghanistan in 2001 to hunt down the perpetrators of 911.
We had no ******* compelling reason to invade Iraq. We had no compelling reason to be involved in Middle East politics for the last 40 years other than to make sure your ******* pieces of shit Israelis suck buddies live well. That is not a reason for 4,000 of our finest young men and women to give up their lives, is there?
We need to complete the mission in Iraq because we are in so deep now it would be worse to run away. However, we need to be honest and admit that we were stupid to get involved in the foreign entanglement of Middle East politics and really, really stupid to invade a country that was no threat to America.
Of course your NeoCon mind goes into a lock mode whenever you have to start thinking rationally like our Founding Fathers did.

However, Gramm is a true conservative and worked for less government and tax cuts.
Since everyone according to you is a neocon, can you name 1 politician that you call a conservative in Congress.
Excuses, excuses. Meanwhile each year the budget increases and the debt goes sky high.
Reagan could have vetoed any spending bill that was an increase but he didn't do it. He could have vetoed the increase in taxes but he didn't do it. He put up token resistence and then agreed to the increased budgets. Very weak.
The Republicans have been in complete charge of the government from Jan 2001 to Jan 2007 and the budget increased and the debt increased. McCain voted for the budgets. No spending bills were ever vetoed. The NeoCons in Congress like McCain voted the spending bills and the NeoCon President signed every one of them.
Necons are the problem just as much as the Liberals.
The sooner you figure that out the better.
Wow................so just Dr. Nutz.............who also fills the budgets with pork and then votes against them.............hypocrisy much

Reagan saw the cost of the dead Marines and decided it was not worth it.
We should all learn from Reagan.
It is not worth the blood of our finest young men and women to be involved in Middle East politics. It is a real cost to go along with the trillions of dollars.
We need to complete the mission in Iraq and then extract ourselves from the business of pissing off every Arab in the world to make sure that Israel lives well. It ain't worth it.

My fellow Nebraskan and Sandhillsian has never exhibited anything but the finest in cerebrality.
Until now, I blamed gator's rudeness on a sort of minor cerebral accident common in people his age, but now I'm starting to think perhaps gator's just naturally rude?

Gator reminds me of something about Nero, about how he went on with even more extreme excesses because nobody ever said "no" to him. Of course, saying "no" to Gator can get one some sort of punishment, same as saying "no" to the emperor.
The new season of The Tudors starts this weekend on Showtime and I think they are going to follow this same theme with Henry VIII.

right, and they controlled the government in ww1. Oh wait, they didn't. Since they didn't run the government, then "we" were not fighting "them". BTW, the war ended in 1918. DAP was formed in 1919. Your "history" fails you.

I guess the Crazy Uncle forgot that Reagan said from the start that he was going to rebuild the very same military he called Mercenaries not all that long ago and you can't do that without increasing the size of it in someway. If he didn't like the build up then Canada wasn't that far away for his cowardly ass to jump over too. He can blame Regan all he wants but the facts are it was needed and if he hadn't done what he did the Russians wouldn't need Putin today to keep things going like they used to because they would never have changed.

And even though in WWI we weren't fighting the so called Nazis, we were in WWII..............same people different time.
