Tea Party Terrorism
Edited on Sun Sep-26-10 11:08 AM by Jeffersons Ghost
Joseph Stack had barely finished flying his airplane into a Texas IRS office building when the battle over his legacy began.
Bloggers on the left ask why people — especially people on the right — are not calling him a terrorist. If this had been done by a brownish-looking Muslim guy whose suicide note paralleled Islamist political themes, then right wingers would be demanding that anyone who refused to label the attack ‘terrorism’ be put up on treason charges.â€
Bloggers on the right, such as Conn Carroll, asked why people — especially people on the left — were acting as if Stack was a conservative Tea Party nut when the anti-tax animus that led him to point his plane at I.R.S. offices was only one part of an eclectic ideology.
These are arguments worth having, for two reasons.
First, the label “terrorist†shapes our immediate response to attacks and our long-term policies. We’ve invaded countries and altered domestic surveillance laws as part of a “war on terror,†whereas we wouldn’t do such things as part of a “war on a nut who flew his plane into a building and is dead now.â€
Second, given the apparent momentum of the Tea Party movement, it would be nice to know if Stack’s kamikaze mission was a not-all-that-shocking emanation from it — whether, as some claim, more than a few Tea Partiers are crazy.

Wasn't this the guy that attacked the IRS building because he hates Bush?
-
Yup--how soon the DUmmies forget the guy was a raving lefty loon.
IOW, one of them.

Indeed- Stack was an Anti-Bush, pro Govt healthcare nut..
From his manifesto...
wealthy bankers and businessmen jumping out of windows when they realized they screwed up and lost everything. Isn’t it ironic how far we’ve come in 60 years in this country that they now know how to fix that little economic problem; they just steal from the middle class (who doesn’t have any say in it, elections are a joke) to cover their asses and it’s “business-as-usualâ€. Now when the wealthy **** up, the poor get to die for the mistakes… isn’t that a clever, tidy solution.
As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government. Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.
This could have come straight from DU..
And as for healthcare, from the same manifesto..
Why is it that a handful of thugs and plunderers can commit unthinkable atrocities (and in the case of the GM executives, for scores of years) and when it’s time for their gravy train to crash under the weight of their gluttony and overwhelming stupidity, the force of the full federal government has no difficulty coming to their aid within days if not hours? Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies. Yet, the political “representatives†(thieves, liars, and self-serving scumbags is far more accurate) have endless time to sit around for year after year and debate the state of the “terrible health care problemâ€. It’s clear they see no crisis as long as the dead people don’t get in the way of their corporate profits rolling in.
So.. um.. yeah.. He sounds just like a 'teabagger' :mental:

Tea Party and terrorism don't even belong in the same sentence.

I capped this the day Stack attacked the IRS.

Uh, by the way, everybody keep their eyes open, please.
As the elections get closer, the Democrats, liberals, and primitives get dirtier.
P-J Comix on freerepublic about a month ago suggested there's a big likelihood that just before the elections, there might be some sort of "racial incident" that makes Tea Party Patriots look bad.
So keep the nostrils wide open, too.

Glenn Beck has also been warning of a "Reichstag fire" moment, too.

Very true, but they are ALWAYS looking to peg us as racists/terrorists/militias/etc.
If there is a big Tea Party gathering a couple of weeks before the elections, there is no doubt in my mind that people will be bussed in as "Tea Party patriots" just to start some shit and make all of us looking really, really bad.
Just like that Reid vs Angle supporter fight a couple of days ago in Las Vegas. Those Reid supporters were heckling Angle the entire time she spoke, then decided to all walk through the Angle group and start some problems. The only news from that "debate" was the alleged fight that the Angle supporter started.

Funny how the MSM didn't portray too much of that story, huh?!? ::) :whatever:
