Congress wants the right to take down websites, what now?

There has been a very disturbing trend regarding the internet over the past couple years. The discussion concerning net neutrality could be far better, the French are now cutting off internet based on three allegations of file sharing (not convictions, allegations). People and companies are sitting on copyrights, much the way that they sit and wait with patents, looking for potential infringement and suing both artists and individuals (http://torrentfreak.com/us-lawmakers-want-to-quash-pira... /). ACTA (http://www.eff.org/issues/acta ) is being pushed at the UN with the full diplomatic force of the US.

And now the US Congress wants to push through a law that would allow them to force the take down of websites that they deem to be harmful with the COICA? (http://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/09/censorship-interne... ). The government has no right to attempt to censor the internet.

I pray to God that the tea baggers are to stupid to realize this is happening, I can see the backlash from them now.

But seriously, this is an issue, and we cannot allow our congress to push this piece of trash through the COICA needs to die.

Damn that GOP congress once the tea party learns this they will vote for Dems.
Oh wait the Dems are the majority.

When FR, CU, an CC get pulled you goons will be thrilled about this.

7. I would hope that a democratic government

wouldn't be so afraid of information.

Well the President did say we have way too much information available.

You people voted the DEM's in you get what you wanted so deal with it. This thing about various copyright infringement lawsuits has taken a interesting turn when a few years ago artist like the Rolling Stones started to ask the record companies where is the money they were due after all these lawsuits and they ended up taking the RIAA to court to see where the money went.

This is what liberals fail to realize in their zeal to get a free ride: politicians hold the steering wheel.

They want education, housing, the internet, media, health care, wages, regulations,  abortion etc etc etc all coming from Washington Dc where they believe themselves to be in power...

...but they never admit that control of the WH and congress is just one electoral wave from installing a Reagan or Palin.

Now just imagine if their scary fantasies of Diebold were true.

Dear Lurking DUmbasses, only collect to yourselves such powers as you are willing to watch us steal and turn back against you.
