Texas ed board adopts resolution limiting Islam in textbooks

AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas State Board of Education adopted a resolution today that seeks to curtail references to Islam in Texas textbooks, as social conservative board members warned of what they describe as a creeping Middle Eastern influence in the nation's publishing industry.

The board approved the one-page nonbinding resolution, which urges textbook publishers to limit what they print about Islam in world history books, by a 7-5 vote.

Critics say it's another example of the ideological board trying to politicize public education in the Lone Star State. Kathy Miller, president of the Texas Freedom Network, which advocates for religious freedom, questioned why the resolution came at a time when "anti-Muslim rhetoric in this country has reached fever pitch."

"It's hard not to conclude that the misleading claims in this resolution are either based on ignorance of what's in the textbooks or, on the other hand, are an example of fear-mongering and playing politics," Miller said.

21. Why does this shit happen more often in Texas than elsewhere?

Just a question

Their remarks if the headline had read, "Texas ed board adopts resolution limiting Christianity in textbooks...

"Well, H@!! yes...they finally figured out the separation clause...took them long enough."

"About time the bigots woke up and got it right for once"

"may there is some intelligence somewhere in Texas"

"Why doesn't the rest of the county follow Texas' lead??"

Now, which side is it that's supposed to be prejudiced, bigoted, hateful??   ::)

Can we start by arresting the asshats from the DemonRat Underground sewer?

Why in the hell do we let people like this absorb our freedom, the whole time tellin' us we are the most despicable people on the planet?

I think it's high time for a loyalty oath from our citizens! If we ask our youngest and brightest to defend these boils on humanity, why in the hell shouldn't they have to take the same oath?

I'm sure they would use the freedoms our military provides, in order to get out of having to take it! How ****ed up is that?????????

****in' useless c**ts!!!!!!

When I was doing some genealogical research on my daddy's side of the family (VA and TN since the 1700's), round about the time of the Revolution all the men had to sign a loyalty oath to the new nation being forged by George Washington.
I'm assuming some of those brave men have descendants among the denizens of the DUmp.  Wonder what they would have made of those nimrods.

I picture him telling the Muslim extremists to kiss his keister.  :lmao:

No he would handle it with class, he would call out the evil ones and praise our allies in the Muslim world.
