A woman is believed to have shot four members of her family, killing three, before taking her own life in West Seattle on Thursday afternoon.
Police said the people shot - two women in their late teens, a man in his 30s, and another woman - were found dead about 2:15 p.m. at a house in the 9400 block of 14th Avenue Southwest.
The suspected shooter, an Asian woman in her 50s or 60s, was among the dead, said Assistant Police Chief Jim Pugel.
The wounded woman, 42, was found in the street by police when they arrived, Pugel said. She was rushed to Harborview Medical Center and medics called for donation blood, but she was expected to survive.

Police say the suspect shot and killed her two granddaughters, Jennifer Harm and Melina Harm, before killing herself. They claim she killed her son-in-law, Chean Phan and injured her daughter, Thyda. The only surviving victim is in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center.
Police are still investigating the cause of the shooting. Family members say the suspect was unstable and had mental problems.
A 9 mm pistol and a .25-caliber automatic was recovered at the scene.
Police say the suspect's husband went into the home shortly after police arrived. Two more shots were fired and when he came back to police, he told police his wife had shot herself. When officers entered the home, they found two women in their late teens, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 50s or 60s dead. Medics were not able to revive any of the victims.
