19. Just Wanted To Chime In With "This" Comment! ANOTHER Person Who
was ONCE very active here and who was ONCE a liberal Democrat has now decided to support the Tea Party! I won't divulge gender, other than to say I'm completely SHOCKED! NEVER would I have thought that THIS PERSON could have even entertained this idea!
But what I'm stating IS TRUE and heartbreaking at the same time! This person has even mocked the upcoming March on October 2nd giving stats on the money that was raised and how many people were in attendance for Beck!
AND, before you say he/she was NEVER really a Democrat I MUST tell you this is someone I PM'ed with a lot, and a person who was VERY, VERY active here for MANY YEARS! I just recently found this out and I can't tell you how flabbergasted I was! So, YES this Party/MOVEMENT is growing and to dismiss it out of hand, I say do it at your own peril!
These people ARE getting elected and kicking well known, long term people out on their asses! I will NEVER take any of this lightly, especially in light of what I just found out!
I don't think I've recovered from what I found out yet! So, laugh if you want... but remember that saying about "he who laughs last!"

38. NOPE... Comment Was Made After BECK'S "Whatever" In D.C.! Said They
would rather be "for" something rather than "against" something! When asked to verify by others who they once stood with, little answer was given!
It came up in reference to the Oct 2nd Rally and the comment was made that Beck raised 5.5 million, and then the question "how about you?" It was really quite astounding! A COMPLETE turn around from one who once called themselves a LIBERAL!
As for Ron Paul, War and a few other issues, yes I understand Paul's thinking! His son on the other hand is really scary!
But I most certainly can't wrap my head around WHY someone who I KNOW touted LIBERAL views simply flipped and turned to the likes of Beck and Palin!
Witches of EastWick maybe, I just don't know!! I want to again say that I have known this person here on DU and another place since 2004, and just can't wrap my head around it as yet!

I called up to order a new filter for my water filtering system. The woman that took the order had an accent of some sort and she began telling me about her husband's new website. I couldn't understand what she was saying very well.
However, I heard this much and it was this: "We cannot allow these blacks to take over". I then heard her utter the name "Palin". :puke: :nuke:
I didn't say yes or no to her. I just hung up the phone rather quickly.
Said business is located in Las Vegas, Nevada ... :wtf:
I wonder how many others out there that are into this Tea Party movement are in fact just plain assed racists? This woman was of this ilk no doubt (self-affirmed). She was younger than I am, I know this much.

Thanks for bringing the idiotic bouncy over, Bijou. It was just toooo stooooopid to sully my boat with. :-)
"Uttered the name 'Palin'" indeed. How lame can you get? Nobody called her out on it, demanding to know the name of the business. We all know what happens then.
