Bought some the other day. Never cooked it.. How do you cook it?
-
With corned beef, naturally.

The official vegetable of the VRWC.

If not cooking with corned beef...
I half it, take out the core, and quarter each half.
Put in a big pot with enough water to cover, dump in a bunch of chicken bouillon -either cubes or granulated.
Some chopped onion and garlic, and black pepper....no salt.
Cook until barely tender.
I serve it in bowls without the broth, a bit of balsamic or red wine vinegar and a pat of butter. Add salt if needed. I don't usually add salt, because there is so much in the bouillon.

I chopped about a cup worth, onions and garlic chicken bouillon in a pot. Turned out good.

You can grill it, saute it, bake it, broil it. You name it.

Can you put it into one of these?

I eat it raw in salads.
Or lightly stir fry with proscuito.

:II:
I like to quarter mine and gently steam in a mixture of red wine vinegar & water. If cabbage gets to soggy, as in overcooked, one might as well throw it out, IMO. :puke:
