I will kindly ask that the posting of election polls please stop (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x9173541)
There are too many polls THAT WE ARE LOSING BADLY. Polling is a scumbag industry, about as reputable as the private health insurance industry.
It's all very mentally taxing.
I am asking nicely that it please stop.
Red above is my emphasis.
:evillaugh: :lmao: :rotf:

4. There are good polls and bad ones... I want to see at least
the ones known to be reliable. I will ignore the rest.

5. Democrats & Republicans are the same when it comes to polls:
good polls are those with which we agree and support our viewpoints, bad polls don't.
Any poll that does not support what we believe cannot be valid.
Blind squirrel finds acorn. :hi5:
...only to be shot down with hilarity:

8. NO! I know the methodology difference. I meant reliable

from a technical standard. Many of us on DU have heavy statistical backgrounds. Don't lump me in with that kind of superficial and childish attitude. Your comment was apparently meant to insult me, but I will chose to ignore that.
Let me fix that for you:

Many of us on DU have heavy hallucinogenic drug backgrounds.

The most accurate poll out there for a long time has been Rasmussen and guess what...DUmmies hate it. :-)

But exit polls showing John Kerry won the election are good enough that they should have been used to decide the election instead of the votes cast.....right?

Voter Turnout Analysis Proves Beyond a Reasonable Doubt that the 2004 Election was Stolen (http://progressiveindependent.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=120&topic_id=4277)
The most likely base case scenario indicates that Kerry won by 10 million votes.
Guess which nut-job claims that? :mental: :mental: :mental:

Make it stop! MAKE IT STOP!!!!

HA HA!! How's it feel to be a DUmmie?! :loser: :lmao:

If the polls weren't posted, the DUmmies would be crying Vote Fraud! the day after the election. Oh wait... :-)

They chose to accept the showings of PPP polls, which are owned and paid for by the democrat party.
Check out the polling data at Real clear Politics. If it wasn't for PPP data being added in, the gap between Republican and democrat polotico's would be wider.
-
I still suggest a CC online party on November 2.
We can start bets on when the DUmp will be closed down.

Ralph,I loved the point you emphasized, but this one just seems to capture the DUmmy mystique so beautifully. :lmao:

NOvember 2 is going to be SOOOO much fun.
I know, I can hardly wait!!
The county election board called me today, asking if I could be a poll worker this year...uh, no thanks. It was bad enough having to work in that lousy precinct last time, but at least I was able to miss all the glee on TV over the Messiah's win.
No way am I going to miss watching election night this year!

Virtual beers.
Didn't the gov'ment say we can't ship alcohol? I thought that was one of the pictures with a giant NO sign through it.

I can't wait to watch some heads exploding

Please tell me you guys will be partying election night? I'll be partying on like 3 boards so hopefully you guys will have a party here too.

I'll be around. It's Biggest Loser night and NBC will interrupt the show every five minutes to bring in the results. While I get really mad at Brian Williams cutting into my show, I'll come on here and laugh at the DUmp.

Cool!

I may be here. Glee will be on, and my wife got me hooked on it (though I missed it last night).
-
I'll be handin' out Dominican Cee-gars to the guys and Hershey kisses to the ladies!
I just put in a supply of barf bags for the DUmmies!

I'm taking the day after Nov 2 off in anticipation of being here all night. :-)
The only thing that would stop me from being here is if my plan to experience misery in action by attending the local democrat party HQ on election night doesn't come to fruition. :uhsure:

I was perusing the DUmmy boards yesterday, looking for a gem to bring over. In the Breaking News, there were all kinds of polls suggesting sunnier days for DUmmies. Then I hopped in my car and went home, where I listened to Boortz going over the latest polls with DuPrie. Cognitive dissonance. The prims loves posting only polls that make them feel good.
Such as Greenberg and Kostard polls.

That will be the theme as the next weeks unfold.
Desperation and latching on to anything that makes them feel better.
The emotional and mental maturity of a 5 year old as always.
