If we get our asses kicked in November, it will prove
that the Dems didn't go far enough right to capture the Independents.
On the other hand, if we do unexpectedly well in November, it will prove that moving to the right is the winning strategy, and we need to keep moving right to keep our majority.
The ******* professional liberals will be whining in either case. Earplugs are the only way to deal with them.

1. There You Go,My Friend: Heads They Win, Tails We Lose
The fact is that any Democratic loss this year will owe to not having fought for progressive positions advocated by the President during his campaign.

3. I disagree. If we lose in Nov. it means we as Dem voters were
too damn lazy to get off the couch a vote! If we WIN it means that the majority of voters, although very unhapp with the current Admin, are even MORE AFRAID of the Pub

5. The truth is that the far left no more represents most Americans than does the far right.
If the wacko teapartiers want to move the Republican party to the far right they will lose the sane middle. But that same middle will not give broad and unconditional support to the far left either no matter how we may try to twist it. Just because the middle supports some aspects of Liberalism does not make them Liberal Democrats any more than the middle that supports some aspects of conservatism makes them far right Republicans.
If the Democrats lose badly in November and the Party will move in one direction or the other my guess is that it will move more to the right, closer to the center. More to the right than Liberals would like, but maybe not so far as the Blue Dogs and DINOs.
No, the truth is, is that the far right has more in common with normal society than does the insane left.

All I got out of that was democrats lie about being conservatives to get into office. Was there something else I missed?

You can't be serious, Obama is a left winger and left wing policies make people miserable, can't you see that?

Nah. Just some of them sensing impending doom and the rest in vehement denial, with a resulting furball over it.

Okay, I'm confused.
Dems need to right to win?
I saw this thread title, and thought the DUmbshit who posted it was pulling yet another "right" out of it's collectivist asshole, kinda like the "right" to murder unborn babies. I spent most of the morning wondering, "where the **** could these morons find verbiage saying they had a "right" to win?!?!"
I hate being sick. :banghead:

It was my typo. It should have said: Dems need to move to the right to win?

Those walking ****ups would have to move so far right it would knock Jupiter out of orbit

What's REALLY funny about this whole thread is that bobo made 3 posts on it, and everybody IGNORED her! :rotf:
No replies, no retorts, no snide comments directed toward her. They just flat out ignored her! :rotf:

The DU OP was being sarcastic, the left can't do good sarcasm at all.

You said it brother. It would have to be a DRASTIC move to the right. Drastic.

As usual the elites in general and dems in particular need to tilt in the direction of the rest of the country to get elected where they'll promptly forget who brung 'em when the get to the dance. Won't work this election...people are more involved and watchful than I've seen in my lifetime.

The Dems have been playing the "boogeyman" card on your stupid asses for over half a century now--why should they change?

There ain't enough moving vans in the US of A to move the dims that far to the right.
