He couldn't very well say "By Allah", now could he?  However, he probably believes that all rights are granted by the government, and the government can take them away.

Some Constitutional Scholar this dipshit is. :fuelfire:
Creator meant different things to the Founders, this I know, but the WORD was included in the preamble.
There goes Obama, remaking history to his own liking yet again.

You could almost see the words rolling by on the teleprompter while he was squinting.  If you're going to quote a historical document, read the whole thing, chump.

Good thing you said chump and not chimp, otherwise you'd be a WAYSIST. :evillaugh:

I heard someone on AFR - Ravi Zacharias, I think - make the point that the inalienable rights recognized in our Declaration could not have come from any belief system, religion, or worldview other than the Judeo-Christian one.

That's a good point.  I don't know about some of the major world religions, but the idea that Islam would give anyone inalienable rights is  :mental:  The word itself means submission to God.  And women are considered human doormats, perhaps one step up from dogs.
How any woman raised in a Western culture could convert leaves me speechless.

Uh, Bou?  There's no "preamble" in the Declaration of Independence.

And yeah, I caught shit from a lefty when I posted this to my FB and referred to TOTUS.  Seems she thinks Obumbles is beset on all sides by racists Tea Party folks.  Even went so far as to basically accuse ME of being a racist.  Whateva.

:shucks:  I is embarrassed.  I guess I'd better give myself a bitch slap before the rest of you beat me to it. :-)

Oops.  I cannot bitchslap myself.  Feel free to do it yourself; I deserve it!!
Funny how last night after several glasses of wine I THOUGHT the Declaration had a preamble. :o

Gee, I'd sure like to drop "Da Messiah" in response.  How much longer to 2013?

Some apologists will say it was an innocent oversight.

Others will say it was an act of accommodation to those not religiously inclined.

If the former can we then drop these ridiculous pretenses that Obama is some intellectual force to be reckoned with?

If the latter then he is still a revisionist  of the worst sort and what is an accommodation to one group must by necessity be an affront to another when it is predicated on such revisions from fact to falsehood.
