I believe repubs are ashamed of being known as repubs.
Recently I have been driving and walking the area here where I live and noticed something which I find a bit odd. Out of all the yard signs for candidates, not one republican has the "R" logo or the word republican on their signs. Examples. Seng, a guy who is running for the Iowa Senate, Democrat in big letters, Braley, who should get re-elected as our Congressman, Democrat in big bold letters where his opponent, Ben Lange has no party affiliation whatsoever listed on his over sized signs. A guy named Ambrose, who lives about three blocks from me, running for Iowa House in this district, no party affiliation on his signs although it is well known he is a republican to the core. His opponent, the incumbent, Cindy Winckler has signs and literature proudly proclaiming she is a Democrat.
Now I thought that maybe this was just something the Iowa repubs were doing so I went across the river into Illinois to investigate further. Sure enough, republican candidates didn't have any thing on their signs which said "Republican" or even a logo. So the conclusion one should draw from this is that the republican candidates must be ashamed to be known as republicans, even though it is common knowledge who the Dems are and who the repubs are. Is this odd leaving off the party affiliation just in this area or is it everywhere? I'd like to know.

The things they come up with to try to comfort themselves. Look DUmmy a majority of campaign signs usually just say *insert name* for *insert office*.
This is not a sign that dems will rule the earth forever.

2. the last time Michael Steele ran for re-election..........
he had blue signs so that people (he hoped) might think he was a democrat and vote for him based on that! He lost that election, btw.....
:lmao: :lmao:

3. There are few Republicans left around this parts.
They've all morphed into teabaggers. Almost all candidates for local office who will have an R behind their name at on the ballot are baggers (with the possible exception of one guy who the baggers support, non the less). Even the candidates for state senate and house are baggers. Pure, unadulterated baggers. Even though they are running as Republicans, I don't think they consider themselves Republicans.
The teabaggers have you guys scared to death.

TV, radio, signs not a damn... D... anywhere

Both parties do it about equally. I haven't seen a campaign sign for EITHER party that had the party affiliation, or even the mascot critter, on it for years. Might actually be in the GOP's best interest to do it some this time, as unpopular as the Dems are.

Once in awhile I will see a sign with so and so Republican or Democrat for office but, a majority make no mention of party.

Listen DUche bag. If anyone should be ashamed, it's the demosocialists who voted for the gubberment take over of health care. I wonder why they don't bring that issue up on their campaign for the November elections? Ever ask yourself that DUmmie?!? :bird: :censored:

Well, that's sort of true, given the number of free-spending Republicans and RINO's in office today.
When asked if I'm a Republican, I basically state that I'm a CONSERVATIVE first, Republican second.

So the conclusion one should draw ....
#1, you don't have the mental capacity to decide what anyone should conclude, even for yourself.
#2, bouncy.

I'm a conservative. Told the Republican party years ago to stop asking for donations from me as long as they do not support the 2nd Amendment . That was back when Bush 1 was in office and alot of the R's were Rino's around here
-
Now that I think about it, I haven't seen a campaign sign for either side that identifies party for a long time.
-
Oh, and I'm not 1 bit ashamed to call myself a Republican, if anyone asks I say Conservative Republican to be specific.

Same here.
The Dim House candidate running for re-election here is running ads on TV that he voted AGAINST Lord Zero's Health Care Plan.
He fails to mention that he voted FOR Cap N Trade. Probably because there are a LOT of coal mines in the part of his district.
His challenger is not letting him forget it. :lmao:
