Oh, the lengths these Republicans will go to in order to spin - just to make Democrats look bad. From Free Republic

"DNC’s bombshell “major announcement†revealed: They’ve … got a new logo" ....
Completely ignoring what the announcement was really all about.

Chairman Kaine Unveils Democrat's New Logo and Website
September 15th - Democratic National Committee chairman Tim Kaine commemorated the release of the Democratic Party's new logo and website at George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs.
(snip)
The purpose of the new website is to encourage its users to act on the party's behalf. The Democratic congressional or gubernatorial candidates that are running in the user's login location automatically appear on the homepage. By clicking on the candidate, users can register to volunteer, find out about events, and learn more about the candidate. The DNC's creative director Lucas Fleischer commented, "There's energy out there and we want to grab it. If you want get involved it should be easy for you. We made the website clean and so simple that you can get to where you need to go in order to make America better." In addition, the website contains links to Democratic candidates Twitter feeds because, to quote Fleischer, "It used to be that a blog was enough, now people want constant updates."
I think we can all agree that the Republicans and Tea Parties... or should I say Republican Tea Parties have been out organizing the Democrats. This is a welcome step to unveil a one-stop source that streamlines activism for Democratic candidates all over the country. Is it "mind blowing"? No, and Kaine never claimed it would be. But obviously he wants to drum up interest for the unveiling - to get the word out.
The New Website can be found here -

Freeper has also been drumming up new conspiracy theories about the logo being an Obama reference. What is it with Republicans and circles? Remember the Missile Defense logo? Or the Nuclear Summit Logo?

1. The roll-out was not handled well...
That, I think we should admit. A press statement indicating a major announcement the next day is pretty dramatic for the introduction of a new website, no matter how good it might be. And, yes, I think the logo is lame.
I support the party and will be manning phones prior to the election, but I won't spin this. Kaine may be well-intentioned, but ill-advised on this.

No kidding, right.
Especially since it was touted as something that hadn't been done in a long time and would be the future of the party.
Huh, by my estimate over archive.com, the website has changed quite a bit over the last ten years (didn't they do a new design when Howard Dean took over as head of the DNC?).
If they really want to do something revolutionary, then why not change the leadership so every member of the Democratic Party (from the major people to the ordinary citizens) have a say in the day-to-day leadership - sort of like an employee-owned company. Make the website truly interactive towards all members of the party.
Maybe also hire some programmers and designers to put them to work too

3. Okay, just stop
HE made it a big deal by trumpeting his "announcement" that would excite Democrats nationwide.
It was on the CNN front page this morning that the they were going to make a major announcement.
This is a ****ING SLAP IN THE FACE to people who are hoping they'll open their ears and eyes and realize they HAVE to give up the corporate gravy train and try to find a way to appeal to people who are fed up and angry with the way things are going.
This a ****ing JOKE!
the logo is just the icing on the cake.

12. Okey-doke! Everything is just peachy-keen now, I get it
really...drumming up a new party logo is going to garner more support? This is beyond ridiculous, and defending it is just insane beyond....well, whatever the **** goes beyond insane!
Is this their idea of strategy? ****ing clueless bunch of dopes working for ( supposedly ) us...
In case you missed it, Tim Kaine put out the word a few days ago that a Big Announcement concerning the Democrat Party would be forthcoming. Many of the DUmmies were ecstactic, hoping the mask would slip completely and the Dems would unveil a full-on Socialist agenda that would make Hugo Chavez blush.
The Big Announcement turned out to be...
*drum roll*
...a new logo and a website.
wah-wah-wah-wah-waaaaaaaaaaaaahhh :bawl:

I didn't even hear about a "big announcement" until just now. Losers. :lmao:HA HA!! :cheersmate:
They are taxpayers who pay their bills, obey laws, and most likely attend some religious service weekly. They are little league/soccer coaches, help their kids with their homework, or are retired parents who worked their asses off raising their children and putting them through college. They are everyday America who wants their country back.
"Change that matters?!?" WTF, the frickin' German Nuremburg Laws (Look 'em up, lurkers) were 'Changes that mattered,' how about some 'Change that actually makes things better' like cleaning the Dems and their favorite butt-boy/girl RINOs out of Congress?

Hey, I've been noticing something lately on Skins's island.
Please note the primitive who started this campfire.
"USArmyParatrooper."
It seems to me that primitive screen-names hinting at military service are becoming more and more common on Skins's island. Five years ago, no primitive would have dared mention military service.
Given this proliferation of primitive screen-names, one's getting the impression the military recruiters have set up an office on Skins's island.
Far be it from me, a professional civilian, to denigrate the possible military service of a primitive--being in the U.S. Navy 45 years ago was the best thing that ever happened to the sparkling husband primitive, for example--but remember, DUmmies lie. All the time, DUmmies lie.
I hope the military, current and former, is paying attention to these primitives, so as to separate the legitimate veterans from the illegitimate ones.
Just keep watching them. the fakes always out themselves in the long run. They have no idea how they do it but we do. Anyone that actually served can see it.
Forever seared in this memory is that of the lying tits primitive, the "TomInTib" primitive--in case no one remembers, I was about the last person around here to get around to disbelieving him.
As a professional civilian, at first (and for a long time afterwards) I took his allegations of being the second-most decorated sailor in the history of the U.S. Navy at face value.
By the time the lying tits primitive got around to boasting about having trained Green Berets (U.S. Army) and flown combat missions over Laos (U.S. Air Force), I started to wonder, but still thought it might perhaps possibly maybe be true.
Again, this is not to denigrate primitives who actually served in the military--I for one am eternally grateful to the sparkling husband primitive, who circa 1966-1967 served in the U.S. Navy off the coast of South Carolina protecting me, then a little kid.
But given the track record of the primitives when it comes to lying about things, when one--at least franksolich--sees a primitive screen-name implying military service, one gets a little dubious.
I'll accept the fact that the mountain man primitive, the "ThomWV" primitive, actually did receive that Medal of Honor or Good Conduct Medal or Purple Heart or whatever that medal is, but beyond that, I wonder.
