Banks and bankers are now potential targets for the Real IRA, leaders of the dissident republican terror group have warned in an exclusive interview with the Guardian. Despite having only 100 activists they also said that targets in England remained a high priority.
In an attempt to tap into the intense hostility towards the banks on both sides of the Irish border they branded bankers as "criminals" and said: "We have a track record of attacking high-profile economic targets and financial institutions such as the City of London. The role of bankers and the institutions they serve in financing Britain's colonial and capitalist system has not gone unnoticed....

The curse of the REAL real IRA was always that anytime more than four or five of them were involved in anything, somebody would eventually run his mouth or just turn informer for factional reasons and bring the whole thing down. Not that they didn't kill a lot of people and create great havoc before being run down. Hopefully the same fate awaits these mugs.
Despite my own family's contingent of Irishmen, in teaching classes I've often summed up Celtic military history by saying 'The Irish love to fight, they're just not very good at it.'

True, Communists and their cat's-paws even more so...PLO factions killed more 'way PLO terrorists than the IDF or Mossad ever dreamed of, for instance.
