I need to know at what point did 9/11 go from an act of terrorism to an attack from Islam?

This is bullshit.

1. When we started targeting radical jihadists on the military and intelligence side.
All this opinion has been shaped by our military policy. If not for this rationalization, what drives military recruiting?
So...dkf thinks it started when we struck back.

2. For some that's what it always was
There were almost immediate attacks on Muslims in the U.S. (and the occasional non-Muslim. A Sikh man was killed in Arizona days after the original attack)
Personally, I thought terrorism was a crme. not an act of war.Back in the 70s, when it was Marxists doing the terror, governments treated it as the actions of criminals and therefore fought it with detective work. Once the US was in Afghanistan, they should have treated it like a police action, trying to find Bin Laden INTERPOL style.
Yeah...the Police have been so very good at tracking down foreign terrorists so far.

20. Yes, I note it only as an interesting coincidence
I'm not sure what the 9/11/2001 attackers thought would happen after the attacks, but I doubt very much that it occurred to them that the US would use it as an excuse to pursue two protracted wars in the Middle East.
I think they didn't realize just how crazy and violent our country can be.
I'm pretty sure the attackers thought we'd roll over and take it.

14. Actually, the plan for the war was hatched even before george stole into the White House.
He then allowed the criminal action of 9/11/2001 (it was not even political terrorism if you really think about it) to happen in order to light the fuse.
:thatsright:

I've still got the emails tucked away from her to prove it.
