A "Special Report" on all alphabet channels.......it's all the republicans fault and he's only half to blame....
Yeah, he said "We've lost 8 million jobs...uh....4 million in the 6 months before I took office....and....uh.....4 million since I took office." I guess that makes it only half his fault and only half Bush's fault....his tune is changing as people get tired of him blaming Bush for everything.
I changed channels and right now, I'm watching German news in English.

I still have it on.
Is he living in the same country as we do?
-
My God he rambles. I think he uses Grecian Formula.

He is talking about his Heathcare plan, he said that 26 year old KIDS can stay on their parents insurance. Since when are 26 year old adults KIDS?
Edited to change can't to can.

Since the Clinton administration decided to count them that way for HillaryCare.
It was actually 25, but it's the same idea.

He said 26 and under "CAN" stay on their parents health insurance.
His speech pattern reminds me of the old "3 gaited mule" ...stubble, fart and fall.

....and to add them and gang members to the statistics of those sweet, innocent youngsters killed by evil guns.

I caught that when I came back to read Chris's post.

We all make mistakes.....and sometimes it only takes a couple of letters to many or to little to make 'em.

I'm I being overly sensitive or is Obama calling on more than a fair percentage of black reporters? ....and do their questions seem to be only concerned with black issues?
And I haven't watched the whole thing........I'm about to eat lunch, you know.

Rush says he is reading from something in the back of the room true? did he also say he never said health care would be free? :fuelfire:

Yes, believe it or not, Texas State Mandate has been up to 25 for a while now, so now we up it to 26. There are NO stipulations regarding whether that 26 y/o lives with their parents, has a job, is married or anything else. woot! :hyper:

Great. Now I find out I could have been on my mom's plan until a few months ago.
Wait. I became an adult on my 18th birthday. Responsible for myself. I guess I'm too old fashioned in this regard. :thatsright:

Not defending Obama....but he's talking about his health care plan.
I know that RB's son can stay on hers until he's 24....I'm not sure if that means until he turns 24 or until he turns 25. However, he has to be a full-time student, which he is. He works about 30 hours at a private club as a bartender, insurance is not offered.
When I was in college, there were student health insurance plans availble (not for care at the student health facility which was a mini-hospital with ER, a couple of floors of private hospital rooms, and mini-surgery for clean fractures and minor injuries requiring stitches). They were quite low priced and were paid for at the beginning of the school year in September and lasted for a year. I remember paying for them, my dad took me off of his company plan, because what I could get through the University was cheaper.
When my daughter went to UT in fall of '97, these types of plans were not available. My daughter worked more than 40 hours a week at a restaurant( the owner owns 15-16 restaurants, insurance is only available to corporate and management), and as a part-time nanny, during college. Neither of which offered a health insurance plan. My son just started back to college a couple of weeks ago, so I know student health plans are still not available. He also works 40 hours a week in a restaurant...no health care bennies.
If the colleges would go back to these types of health insurance programs for students, Obama's plan would not be an issue. Insurance companies would make money, and the rest of the country wouldn't be paying for coverage for people up to age 26 if they are in college, trade school, etc.

Don't start feeling bad for being responsible just yet little buddy. The mandate only applied to fully insured companies. If she works for one that is self insured, they can write their own exclusion, and it usually is 19 or full time student up to 21. So, you very well may have had to be responsible anyway. :-)

Yeah, unfortunately, he wants to collapse our system, (capitalism), and put in a new system. Sounds like FAIL to me! :banghead:

She works for a community college so I'm not sure how that would have worked.
I enlisted at 18, got out at 22. Didn't have insurance from 2007 until a few months ago. Wish I could gamble that well in a casino. Now I have it because I have to for school. And I don't have to go on the governmental tit for it.
