Two things I saw on TV that made me feel a little ill at ease.... Updated at 2:09 AM

First was the way the people at the super dome reacted when the National Anthem was played.
Let me come clean, I think that playing the national anthem at all sporting events is a little jingoistic to me, especially if the only time the anthem is played is at sporting events.
Tonight it felt a little over the top, the response by the crowd, the way the people on the field reacted.
I may be off base but it just felt threatening.
Maybe because it was in New Orleans, a place that the government at the time of Katrina, basically said you're on your own, and still...
Again, it felt a little dangerous to me.
Then there was the Victoria Secret commercial where they were flaunting a size for all and all they showed was waif like women who ran the gamete from size 0 to size 1.
Granted it is Victoria Secret, but still...
I may be paranoid, but it seemed like I was living back in the Bush Administration when people displayed a love of country that was a mile wide and an inch deep and that women should be objectified.

if I wore one, I'd look like a wooly mammoth wearing a rubber band.
God they truly hate America don't they?
What an idiot, I love the National Anthem and I love seeing a flag waving proudly in the wind. Dangerous? Threatening? this is why you buffoons always lose the American people, shut-up and suck it up if it bothers you, and the fact that it does bother you most likely means you should find a Country that might more fit your needs.

Only a DUmmy would get upset over the national anthem and attractive half naked women on tv. :-)
Wonder why that is............(http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/258/hairylesbians.jpg)
I said attractive women. Those do not qualify.
God they truly hate America don't they?
Seriously, what does this have to do with anything. Are they seriously complaining about a lingerie ad featuring attractive women?

I know!
These are typical DUmpster runway models. That's the reason they don't like the ads! They have nuttin' in common with attractive females!
ETA:
Sorry Chris_, shoulda included a "spork" alert! heh!

My God, those ARE female!
Makes me soooooooooooooo glad I'm not gay. With THAT representing gays/lesbians, there is NO FEAR of me ever "turning to the dark side".
Now pardon me while I go take a shower. For some reason, I feel dirty now.
I'm not sure if the one on the left is a female or not. "SHE" has a really hair belly button road to where the sun doesn't shine.

Super fat woman in a thong and the Koran.....ones about as ugly and frightening as the other.
That's because they are insecure, jealous, bitter, and vindictive.

I really don't understand why anybody would go out of their way to look unattractive. Not all of us are destined to be models and movie stars, but that bikini top thing on both of those girls has to be one of the least flattering pieces of clothing possible. Their pants/shorts aren't much better. I would bet that they would both be reasonably attractive if they just put a bit of effort into it.
Also, I just plain don't understand why some women make such a big deal about shaving. It take less than a minute to shave both my underarms, and a couple of minutes to shave my legs.
They also need to shave their stomachs.
