Could any of you date or marry a Repig?

I know that many of you DO have spouses or partners who are Repigs, but I just couldn't do it. If anybody I was interested in was a Repuke, that would be a deal BREAKER!!!! I just couldn't do it, EVER.

Most of them know that they aren't fit for decent humans.

This one speaks "truth to power".  :-)

I've never dated Democrats but that wasn't by choice, it just so happened that I dated Republicans. My husband votes Republican but he's pretty much A-political, he hates them all.

Oh what a horrible miserable thread that is, are these people ever happy? to make politics such a large part of your life is pretty pathetic.

45. Nope. Too many good Democratic choices out there.

Republicans usually have other faults besides their political views. I find them to be lazy, irrational, angry, paranoid, and selfish most often, personality quirks I really don't look for in a mate.

Politics never came up till 3 weeks into the relationship..I took him to a Progressive party meeting the other day..he has to sit through watching Maddow and Olberman with me..he no longer calls himself a Republican..now a Independent...I figure in a few more weeks I wear him down to going Left

67. Such as?

When did Larouche or Phelps ever win anything?

Phelps is a democrat. He held a fund raiser for Gore in his home.

LOL He told you that in order to part you from your drawers.

Snuggle with Mr. Happy during the next NFL game, whilst simultaneously making him a sammich and holding his beer, and he'll tell you he's Che's long-lost nephew.

There's an old saying about something pulling battleships, but I don't wanna die, and I apologize in advance. :-)

If your politics are more important to you than your relationships, you should really just stay the Hell out of both for the sake of the human race.

If anyone I dated asked for me to go to a "progressive" party, I'd be like, "Have fun, I'll see you when you get back." I'd rather drink bleach then sit through that crap! :mental: :mental:

My wife and I talk about everything. Except politics. I have absolutely no idea how she votes when she goes into the booth. Rarely, she'll bring up something in the news and we'll talk about our opinions, but that's about it.

I couldn't imagine spending every living breathing moment talking and living politics. It would drive me crazy, and I LIKE this crap.

My wife is a registered Republican--has to be, for her job--but she goes from Libertarian to Conservative to Moderate and back again in seconds.  (She loves Glenn Beck.)  We usually agree, but if we don't, we both understand each other's positions.  That doesn't mean that we agree with those positions, but we at least understand them.

Both my side and "Toots" family are hardcore conservative. Party really doesn't come up. I'm pretty sure a DUmmie male/female would never fit into our philosophy.

ETA:

Besides, just reading the OP's snark gives me a bad case of  limp dick.

What do you get when you cross a pig with a DUmmie?

Nothing!
There's just some things a pig won't do.  :rimshot:
