I am a total Rush and Mark Levin nut. They don't mince words and always cut DUmmies and Libs off
-
I've started listening to the John Batchelor show, and I really enjoy it. I'll admit, I'm not a fan of listening to most people who call in to radio shoes, and John Batchelor doesn't have that.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about John Batchelor's style gives the feeling that he is broadcasting from a bunker in war zone. I guess it's the urgent tone of his voice.
But anyway, Rush is my favorite, because he tells it like it is. I like Beck too. His radio show is very entertaining when him and his crew get to goofing off.
-
Laura Ingraham for national radio host, but I do enjoy some local hosts also.
-
National: Not sure. Too many good ones to list, but I'm leaning on either Hannity or Rush right about now. Depends on my mood, I guess.
Local: Vicki McKenna (http://www.wiba.com/pages/vicki.html) no question. No competition. She's a cool chick. I've met her in person. She's fair, but firm on air, and doesn't take any BS!

Rush
Sometimes I'll listen to Hannity, but he just dosen't hold my attention every show like Rush can.
-
Laura Ingraham
Mark Levin
Locally
Mark Davis
Russ Martin
-
Definitely Rush. I catch some of Beck...his radio show is so different from his TV show, which is very serious. One of his producers does an imitation of Al Gore that never fails to make me laugh.
-
MICHAEL SAVAGE. Why?!?! Because he tells it like it is and goes off every once in a while. I LOVE IT! (A great conservative with a PHD)
GLENN BECK. Why?!!? Because his show is great. He has so much info on his shows sometimes it's crazy!
-

Vicki is my favorite local also.
Nationally I am a big Rush fan and then Levin.
I also like Dennis Miller but he is often in conflict with Rush's show

My Mom hates Michael Savage thinks he is a nut job. I ask her why she bothers to listen to him, she says, she can't help it, she wants to know what kind of insanity he will talk about each day.
Me, I like Howie Carr from Boston, that man is a fun guy, He finds things in the Boston Paper and makes you see the stupidity of Mass. and around the country.
He has this Death contest for the famous or who won't be down for breakfast, and whoever calls in with a celebrity's name and they die next wins all kinds goodies. Best part of all the game is all the people we thought were dead that are still living.
National would be Art Bell / George Norrie. Coast to Coast AM.
-
Rush
Beck
Prager
Miller (Dennis)
Hugh Hewitt
I really don't like Savage.
-

LOL....."My SU-AH-V".
Did you hear when they were all acting like babies in the womb and each one tried to one up the other one and got younger and younger? I was LOL for real. I also love when they do Michael Jackson.
-
Politics: Laura Ingraham. Was pissed when it moved to 8P-11P. Was great when I was working as a courier and she was on 11-2.
Local: Mark Davis
Sports: Richie and Greggo
-
Rush for the obvious reasons. Don't really like Beck or Savage too much, and can't stand Sean's radio show.
Vesta has it right Howie Carr does a really good show.
Local to me I listen to Jim Vicevich. (http://radioviceonline.com/) Up until BHO, Jim considered himself a libertarian (as opposed to Libertarian). Great show from 9-12 EST and a real nice lead up to Rush.
-
Glenn Beck
Jerry Doyle
locally, Scott James.
Same here, but minus Scott James for Heidi Harris. She's our local radio hostess in the morning before Beck.
-
We have a local guy, Phil Valentine... he's syndicated with Westwood One.
I can't stand Phil Hendrie. Damn, what a stupid show.
-
Question - is there a need for serious conservative radio hosts, and would you listen to them? I would. The people listed on this thread are not serious political commentators, but rather entertainers and partisan hacks. Not that it was any better on Air America.
I listen to Peter Werbe out of Detroit. Also listen to Baraga Broadcasting (EWTN.)
-
I listen to talk radio throughout the day for my daily news & some entertainment while at work. If the show is too serious, it would put me to sleep.
Rush Limbaugh is too serious for me. Sean Hannity is too partisan. Michael Savage is a cranky old man who rips on all of his competitors, mostly Beck. But he can be rather entertaining when he's not being a bitter old man.
-
We aren't stupid, we know when we listen to talk radio that they are for the most part partisan. Have you ever listened to Dennis Prager? He isn't all politics, I love his happiness hour.
I listen to talk radio as a form of entertainment, I know where their view is coming from. I like listening to Rush and Beck because they make me laugh. I don't like Savage's anger. I love Miller's wit and I enjoy Hewitt's interviews with various people.
I don't think I could take listening to Hannity, he gets obnoxious after awhile.

You might enjoy John Batchelor. More news based with less drama. He has a podcast on his website if you want to check it out.
-
We used to have this local on Saturday and I can't find anything current on him, don't know where he went or why but he was LOUD and PROUD against global warming
http://www.awod.com/election/96gen/us-thompson/
He also introduced me to Oath Keepers and various websites of the conservative persuasion.
I like all the national personalities you all have mentioned with the exception of Hannity. Grates my nerves like nails on a chalkboard.

Uhhhh,.....let me help you out a bit. You know you're on a conservative forum, right?! Isn't Peter Werbe a progressive?! :mental:
Let me ask you. Why is it that conservative media in general TRUMPS the libs/progressive media?!?! YUP!! You guessed it. They suck and they lie. :lmao:
-
Miller (Dennis)
OHHHH. We thought you meant Stephanie, BEG.

Savage is A#1++++
He is not just always about politics either.

Just because a talk show host is entertaining does not mean they are not serious. You are using a non sequitur to pretend you are making a valid point when you are not.
You are probably also confusing "serious" with "inability to enjoy life." Conservatives naturally have a greater capacity to enjoy life because they don't muddle their thinking with non sequiturs and sophistry.

He's an NPR fan. He probably things boring vanilla is the "proper" way to do radio.
-
^ Actually, that's why I can't watch Huckabee for too long. He's definitely fairly informed, but he's vanilla. Great word to use, by the way.
-
I can't listen to the radio when I'm working - don't know why, but it's distracting. On the other hand, I always have the tv on....I guess my brain tunes it out.
I have Fox on in the morning, until 10 or 11 and back on between 3-4 until 7 or 6 and back on at 11.
I like most of the Fox people, some I like better, and some segments I like better. O'Reilly can get obnoxious and I "tune" him out, but I really like Dennis Miller's segments. I like Hannity's panel. I think it's fascinating that Greta is a liberal and manages to be fair, and even critical of the Dems. I really like Charles Krauthammer.
I like Beck's history lessons....and admire his and his staff's research abilities and their knack for finding obscure information.
If I'm in the car, I will listen to Rush and/or Neil Boortz.
-
I like Megyn Kelly. :naughty:
-
I like Megyn Kelly. :naughty:
Me too.
I'm sure you've noticed...but I don't think any channel on tv has such great looking women(every one of them!), who dress "classy-sexy", and are presumed to be fluffy airheads...until they start to speak. Not an airhead among them.
Finally, at least on one channel on tv, people are finding out that beauty and brains DO go together! :yahoo:

I don't think Greta is a liberal any more. Also her husband worked on McCain's campaign in 2008.
-
^ I like to think she is just so that I don't lose hope for ALL of them. Greta makes me thin "Hey, maybe there is a smart, decent one out there."

Toss up between Rush and Levin. (Shadup ya big DUmmy). I'm not too upset when Mark Steyn fills in for Rush though.

Mark Steyn makes me swoon.

He is not just always about politics either.
I like it when Jeff Kuhner fills in for Savage when doing the show. He's pretty awesome too. :cheersmate:
