Title: Hard pivot, laser-like focus?

...Last November, Obama announced that he would turn his attention to unemployment, calling it "one of the great challenges that remains in our economy." He declared the same intent two months later, telling House Democrats he would focus relentlessly on job creation "over the next several months." Senior aides went on television pledging that the mantra would become "jobs, jobs, jobs."

But other matters - health care, the BP oil spill - continually stole the limelight, creating the impression, some Democrats complain, that the president was barely focused on the economy at all.

His advisers described his attentiveness - noting, for example, that he discussed the economy with New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg (I) for 15 minutes before golfing - but got little traction. ...

Notice that we still have seen any improvement in the jobs situation, but Obama has shifted his attention to Israel and Palestine.  His entire jobs mantra right now, is that the Evil Rethuglicans are blocking his supposed jobs bill.

Reid and Pelosi will come back from break with some piece of bullshit that won't have any (Positive) effect on jobs or the economy, but will sound sort of like it does, probably with a poison pill or two for the GOP buried in it for good measure.

The objective will not be to actually accomplish anything economically, it'll just be designed to put the GOP between a rock and a hard place - piss off the masses of unsophisticated voters by blocking it or voting against it (However futilely in the House) or piss off their own base by voting for it.

Obama's laser....more like a 1950's flashlight with dead batteries. At least one used to work.
