You know when the browser Firefox logs on to a web site and then it asks you - do you want to save this as log-in info? Well, somehow I goofed and now cannot log into my www.dishnetwork.com account anymore. The folks I talked to at DishNetwork were friendly and helpful, but there was no resolution.
So, I thought I'd use a different browser - downloaded Opera - same thing.
They don't recognize my email nor password and I get this error:
"Changing the Account Holder on a DISH account is not permitted. If you've made a legal name change, and have documentation, please call 1-888-884-2741."
I've tried setting up a new account, with different info, but they recognize my computer. I have searched endlessly how to get a Firefox fix with no luck
Of course DishNetwork's customer service is not in the US, and cannot figure it out. Any ideas?

PS - when I go to the wbesite, it says "welcome" and my name

Have you tried clearing the browser cache - Click Tools -> Clear Recent History and make sure everything is selected and set the time range to everything.
Bear in mind that this should clear ALL saved passwords / history / etc.

Thanks, yes I just did it again and it still recognizes my computer and says Hello, JLO, yet my login-name is showing as incorrect. So I clicked to have Firefox always log me in with my correct info - and nope, it still won't allow me to log in. :banghead:

Clear your cookies.
You will be required to log in with your user name and password. Just click "remember" again when that little thingy drops down.
Cookies & cache are different, right? I sound so old, my gosh. I use Firefox and have had this happen numerous times. Clearing my cookies always does the job.

Thanks for the suggestion - I tried clearing out every thing and blocking everything and I still get
"Error Please complete/correct the highlighted information and resubmit. "
Guess I'll just have to call to be able to use a few movie coupons. :cheersmate:

Clear your cache and your cookies. Then reboot your PC.
I had a similair issue with IE a while back and that seemed to help.

Heh, remind me not to do that one again. NOBODY knew me :thatsright: I barely found my way back here :-)
I finally just did a system restore to last week, so I am least back to normal. Uffda!

There ARE options to NOT clear saved passwords and some other login stuff.

I have my browsers set up to delete the cache and cookies every time I close the browser, but not log in info and passwords, and I make exceptions for the cookies from sites that require logging in.

I used to until I switched to W7. I just forgot to do all that. FF is good about saving login/ password info

Well. that's pretty much what I'm looking for. Can you please point me to the direction I need to go? I printed out many FF pages to fix - followed them all - with no luck.
TIA and a :=)

tools/ clear recent history, uncheck the boxes you don't want cleared. Or, tools/ options/ privacy/ clear recent history or remove individual cookies.
