Tim Cahill lashes out at Deval Patrick over remarks on Glenn Beck

Independent gubernatorial candidate Tim Cahill blasted Gov. Deval Patrick yesterday for appearing to suggest he wished America wasn’t as free so that last week’s Glenn Beck rally at the Lincoln Memorial where Martin Luther King Jr. once spoke would never have happened.
“It’s a free country. I wish it weren’t, but . . . it’s a free country,†Patrick said on the “Jim & Margery Show†on WTKK-FM. “You know, you got to, you got to respect that freedom.â€
The comment had Cahill lashing out at his liberal rival.
“It’s pretty unbelievable and typical of the far left,†Cahill told the Herald. “When they don’t like what the other side says, they want to close down free speech.â€

I actually heard this live while delivering mail - it practically resulted in a 'spit-take'. Michael Graham comes on right after the
Moonbat & Liberal Jim & Marjorie Show. Needless to say, that comment took up about half of Graham's four hours.
I expect it will go down as being a gaffe and nothing more, that Patrick was saying that he wished the rally wasn't held where it was - and it will be forgotten.
If it were Bush who said this... We would get to hear it again and again for the next few years, and it would be used in campaign commercials against him.

It does sound like just an unfortunate and unintended turn of phrase, rather than an expression of evil intent, but hey, when the other side fumbles, you don't stand back and let them walk over to pick up the ball, either.

Patrick is as far left as it gets without actually being labeled a Communist.
Wait until the 3% tax initiative. ( there is a ballot item to reduce state taxes to 3% effective January 2011 http://www.rollbacktaxes.com/wordpress/ ) At this point, it seems it will pass. Up until this past weekend, Patrick refused to commit to support this movement if it passes, and grudgingly said he would sign on after getting beaten up for days over it.
However - I fully expect Patrick and the legislature to override the will of the people, and Patrick to then blame the legislature for it..."I signed the initiative, then the legislature overwhelmingly passed a new tax bill raising taxes back to 6.25%. There was nothing I could do about it."

is a 9/11 mosqueteer
has raised taxes 8 times.
has increased the size of Government.
rolled back every government spending cutback made by Romney after taking office.
increased the scope and scale of Romneycare, making a bad thing worse.
has broken every tax relief promise made.
supported pushing the gay marriage initiative through the courts instead of the voters.
blasted Arizona for its stance on illegal immigration.
..and this is just off the top of my head. Patrick is no moderate Dem.

Oh I am well aware of the extremely poor decisions of the Patrick Administration.
To claim Patrick is not a leftist makes me wonder if this poster is in fact Bernie Sanders......
