It Appears That $1 Trillion Dollars a Year Is Not Enough
unhappycamper note: Since the Pentagon has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, I’ve decided to give ya’ll an unhappycamper summary of the article and a link to the OP. To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.

To read the article in the military's own words, you will need to click the link.

I didn't realize that the Pentagon/MIC could restrict my First Amendment rights as well as morph the Copyright Act of 1976, 17 U.S.C. § 107 with zero, zip, nada Congressional approval. It sure is beginning to smell like fascism.

...

The rest of the OP excised because he throws around ficitious claims that the US military has a multi-trilliopn dollar budget. Just note the stuff I emphasized.

Government publications are copyrighted?

There is only one reason for copyrights, so that the owner of the material can profit from it, right?

DEAR GOVERNMENT; WE'RE THE OWNERS OF THAT MATERIAL, BY VIRTUE OF HAVING PAID YOUR SALARIES TO PREPARE IT, ASSHATS.

Louder! SCREAM LOUDER!!!

10. I thought that Government publications..
were free from copyright restrictions since they are produced with taxpayer money. How can they claim copyright protection??

"I thought..."  <--- here's the problem.

Frackin idiots. The military has always had power to censor anything that might be considered against their best interest.

Lurking DUmmies.  Please take this back to the DUmp and spread it to your brethren so they don't look so stupid to the rest of the world.

The Army Times...in fact ALL of the "Times" (Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy) publications are owned by Gannett News.

www.gannett.com/about/map/armytimes.htm

Perhaps you're heard of Gannett's most famous publication:

www.usatoday.com

And while The Stars and Stripes IS a DoD publication.  Anyone who has read more than two issues realizes that 99% of the Content is from AP.

Don't like it...write an e-mail to Al Neuharth or your congressman.

unhappycamper is a particularly rancid piece of shit.

The sooner this guy falls into a wood chipper the better off our planet will be.

But he's spewing the same shit today and NU set him straight again:

I wonder how long he'll keep lying like this.

He responds to all his critics. I wonder if she'll get his attention.

Please feel free to use what I posted above in any rebuttal to her.  Hell invite him here.  I'll be glad to school this liberal twit.

Check my OP for this thread. NU actually schooled the DUmmies. She apparently already knows Gannett is the owner.

It's unhappycamper that's being an ass.
