Quite often in life you may notice that insane people accuse those who are sane of being the crazy ones.
DU turns that into an art form.

Many millions of Americans are simply delusional Updated at 2:50 PM
Reading about the Beck craziness, and looking at my inbox's recent emails from crazy-right acquaintances, it strikes me that there are a lot of people unable to see reality. They're mad as hell, and they have every right to be mad - unfortunately they don't know what they actually should be angry about, so they make stuff up.
We had the same situation in the early 1930s. The New Deal solved the problem then, but it looks like we're stuck with the Old Deal for at least a few more years.
Sorry, I don't see this ending well unless something good starts happening for working Americans. Any thoughts are appreciated - this is not making me feel cheerful.

No we are not making up anything about what we are mad about.
it's very simple most of us are pissed at both sides.
We are pissed at the GOP for losing their way and becoming progressives.
We are mad at progressive democrats for taking a bad situation and making it worse. Meanwhile going round telling us how wonderful things are. I am sure the people who can't find jobs or are under employed are not happy in the least when we are being told that this is a recovery. Meanwhile still no jobs, a mandate to buy health insurance, and taxes being increased on income and possibly on energy if tax and cap gets shoved down our throats too.
We are not angry that we aren't getting free ponies by the truckload like you lefties want. We are mad that conditions are not very well for us to be productive and make our lives better.

3. I believe that Bush and the Repubs put us in a very deep hole...
..and most of those "delusional" American know it. In fact, they voted for it. I think guilt is a big part of their delusion. They refuse to accept responsibility for their actions. So now, they make shit up rather than face the truth.
Bush and the republicans may have broke the ground on this hole but, Obama has drilled further than any oil drill in under 2 years.

5. Yep, and Dems are missing the whole party.
You can't eliminate what you are calling delusion, imo. People feel a certain way emotionally en masse, and they fill in the rationalizations needed to support the feeling. Facts don't have much bearing if they are rejected out of hand for failing to support the feelings. That's why Dems need to deal with more than facts, and that's why Republicans avoid facts.
I love us Dems, but we need to get out our drums and start playing some music for the natives. Otherwise, we go in the pot.
The republicans at the moment are bringing up a lot of facts, you just don't like it because it shows how socialism is a failure. When Joe Biden says its the summer of recovery that is not a fact. It is spin.

Agreed. Millions are delusional and that's why Zero won.

I know just where to find a couple of thousand of the most heavily-afflicted, too!

What site is it again that coined the term "bouncy"?

You say that as if you had some sort of plan to round them up and keep them in Camp Shady Pines ... oops. Did I say that out loud? :-)

Of course the other bugaboo in the room is our most fsvored nation status for China. It artificailly restricts our ability to expand our economy.
-
Bush and the republicans may have broke the ground on this hole ...
And I can't even go along with that when they make that claim. You can't decide that low income people need to be able to buy homes, so you take what was a perfectly good working formula of sub-prime lending in the private sector and allow Fannie and Freddie to make those same types of loans on an even more risky scale. This is one of those cases where falsely calling other people "rascist" has buried the country, because if Republicans (or anyone for that matter) had dared point out that people were getting loans they couldn't pay back, the libs would have been screaming the word from the rooftops.

And most of them post at the DUmp.

Hey, somebody's got to do make the doughnuts. Also log the treacherous slopes of the Rockies, in the bracingly-cool and healthful air above 6,000 feet, of course...

BZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Wrong. The New Deal made the depression last longer.
WWII or as the Republicans called it "Mr. Roosevelt's War" is what saved this country from further economic despair.

I'm not sure even that is entirely accurate. Yes, the war did help, but I think what saved this country was around 1946, when people were so sick of democrats that they elected a republican Congress. They immediately cut taxes, cut spending, removed price controls, limited the unions, and basically tried to undo all of the damage done by the New Deal, and all but defeated Truman's attempt to continue in Roosevelt's footsteps with that 'Fair Deal' of his.
Sound familiar?

Again, you stupid DUmmies!!! We are very aware of what we're mad about. We are politically engaged. Make stuff up, huh?!?! You mean, like the way the libs/progressives try to make their lies, into a talking point?!? Take a walk you stupid DUmmie! :censored: :bird:

The "Raw" Deal would have sunk us into 3rd world relativism if WWII had been delayed for more than 5 years! It would have looked a heckuva lot like it does right now! Deficits that would be virtually impossible to overcome. Inflation would have bankrupted the Nation, starvation would've been the norm, and anarchy would rule!
If not for having to supply the Brits with what they needed to overcome Nazi Germany, unemployment would have been unsurmountable! Every day, these asshats currently runnin' the country in the ground, are perpetuating the same damn thing!
How in the world Dems and DUmmies think you can spend your way out of trouble, with money you don't have, is going to go down in history as the biggest boondoggle to ever infect the planet!
Not one of these idiots on the left will acknowledge the countries currently goin' down the tubes, have tried exactly what they are doing and callin' it quits! They're tellin the messiah to pound sand every time he tells them they need to spend more in order to help themselves!
Spending money you don't have goes against every logical argument we put forth, yet they just ignore us and just start their name callin', race baiter BS!

Yes, exactly 69,456,897 were delusional in 2008.
-
Aren't they so special! Singled out by Gaia, Father Time, or random molecules to be wiser than everyone and yet victimized by that same "stupid" group. One would think people as wise as them could find a way to communicate with us lesser beings so that we understand their benevolent wisdom. The fact that they're constantly trying to retool their message or excusing their leaders for being to damn smart for the rest of us should give them pause to rethink that whole "smarter than thou thing". But they're too stupid to do that.

in the 1930s just like now 1+1=potato does not work.

One of the truest things I have heard lately is:
Liberalism is the what useless individuals do in order to make themselves feel better at the expense of those who actually have to pay for it!
This is exactly the explanation for O'BummerCare, the Mosque, Cap and Trade, etc.............
