Voters now trust Republicans more on all key issues!
Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on all 10 of the important issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports.
The GOP has consistently been trusted on most issues for months now, but in July they held the lead on only nine of the key issues.
Republicans lead Democrats 47% to 39% on the economy, which remains the most important issue to voters. Those numbers are nearly identical to those found in June. Republicans have held the advantage on the economy since May of last year.

Recent changes according to the poll: Voters trust republicans more on government ethics and corruption. Republicans are trusted more on the issues such as War in Iraq, War in Afghanistan, Immigration, Social Security, and education...

12. "recovery summer" and "the stimulus worked"
Most people have pretty short term memory with government - what have you done for me lately?
Republicans aren't presenting substantive ideas on anything so people don't have a current opinion one way or another. Meanwhile Democrats are saying "recovery summer" and "the stimulus worked" and "we created 1.4 to 3 million jobs" and the people are thinking "you're wrong".
Then the Democrats brag about "reform" they've accomplished but people say "my health care is the same or worse" and "what exactly changed with the financial system?".
A Freeper troll brings facts to the discussion.

2. Rasmussen?
Stop torturing yourself and stop reading their "polls".
Close your eyes and pretend everything is all right.

15. I was almost worried there for a second
We can't take anything for granted, and Democrats should work hard for the best results come November, but worrying about Rasmussen polls is a complete waste of time.
Really? It seems that Rasmussen generally leads the other major pollsters by a month or so.

Andrew Sullivan and 538? Seriously? You may as well poll DU, Kos, and MSNBC viewers only.

But those left wing polls are the only ones that make them feel good. They also have the added bonus that they can point back to them after they lose heavily and cry FOUL - STOLEN!!!
KC
-
So, a piece written about two years ago attempting to discredit the RCP average because they weigh their aggregate polling differently than fivethirtyeight is valid to discredit the RCP average now ?
-And the event that triggered this opinion piece was RCP's decision to include a formerly excluded polling company into their average ? Typical liberal logic.
-
Heheh! Yep, if we exclude independents and include only left wing hacks, we get the numbers we want!
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
Suck it DUmmies! You and your kind are goin' DOWN!!!!!
America has had enough of your "Hope and Change"!

This obvious freeper troll is correct. What is banging Obama and the Democrat's numbers now are Obama and the Democrats. "Recovery Summer" , "The Stimulus Worked" , "We saved or created X jobs" and "immediate benefits from passing the HCR bill" are all biting their collective asses at once.
The Self-anointed "smartest administration in history" has managed to throw itself into the same bear trap that G.W. Bush did;
"Mission Accomplished"
The only difference is the smartest administration in history has thrown itself into the same bear trap multiple times. Just in time for elections.
So, Democrats. You are in an interesting position - if this is 'the smartest administration in history' - it's obvious to me that they know what they are doing, and want the House and Senate to lose members -or- Obama - as President - is totally in over his head.

Most of us here saw the same replay of 1993 coming...a stealth candidate that was protected by the press through the election because lies told about what he was didn`t have daily evidence proving them fake.
He bought into it thinking actions would have the same reaction as rhetoric and as bubba found out they do not.
The over reach and raw arrogance while pursuing policy that flew in the face of logic but pandered to a very small liberal minority has sunk him.
-
You know who this bad for/ REPUBLICANS. Yep, terrible.
Whatever they are doing to get a 2:1 turnout in the primaries, they should stop that.....it is bad for them.
-
Dear Leader has lost the trust of real Americans and it's going to be hard, if not impossible, for him to ever get it back. The only thing I trust that he's done since obtaining office is to take more vacations and play more golf than me. Otherwise, he's a total flop.

The parents (voters) let the kids (Dims) into the candy store with the credit card and have now got the bill.
Now the accountant (Reps) has to figure out how to pay it.
I hope. As long as they don't go Dim Light again.
