Has anyone ever done a profile on Primitives, like how we profile criminals?

Check the DUmping Ground sub-forum. There's got to be something in there.
I did some housecleaning there last week -- there should be less than five pages in there.

I don't know about primitives in general, but I know franksolich has profiled quite a few.
In general, I would say that the average american primitive over on the isle is older than their mid-forties. It has some outdated technical training or a degree upon which they never expanded or failed to continue to learn and develop skills after that was acquired, resting upon their laurels so to speak. It typically seems to come from blue collar families with union backgrounds. They seem to be characterized by a large number of anti-social disorders, though some undoubtedly display these traits to receive disability from the government. They are unlikely to have had a thought in their lives that someone else did not first place there.
The younger ones tend to either be in college or just out. They seem to think that the government's job is to replace mommy and daddy and cater to their every whim.
Cowardice is the most common trait on skin's island.

I'd bet money that a VERY high percentage of them are genuine paranoid psychotics; some worse than others. Their disconnect from reality and flatly irrational and constant delusional fears really suggest that particular profile to me. Some of them seem to even fit the hallucinatory symptom type. These strike me as verging right into a self-contained delusion/hallucination:

The DUmmies suffer from a disease of the intellect that any one of us can succumb to at any time. I'm not sure what the best word or phrase might be to describe it but "wishful thinkingism" is reasonably close. While any one of us may suffer from this at any time, the DUmmies are the best example I know of demonstrating what happens to the intellect when it becomes a chronic condition.

I would like to have Frank have his take on them since he is been around them more than most here. I am sure he will know a great deal about them. Interesting to note that they are older than than average. I would think they are younger, about in their 20s, not 40s. I tend to think they are paranoid and narcissistic. I bet the same profile could apply to Ronbots.
