It's my unbridled opinion that since Obama has seen what the presidency requires, in terms of working hours and the demand on one's time, he doesn't want a second term.
It's far easier for the elitists when they can simply retire at age 51, be a permanent on-call member of "The View", and continue to work for the destruction of America (off-screen, so as not to cause too much of a ruckus).

The only reason Lettertard was knocking Obama is the fact that he knows Obama being a one-termer means a (gasp!) Republican will be president in 2013...and likely well beyond.
Letterman is pissed at Obama only because he's screwing up the liberal retention of the reins of power.

I don't know that Letterman is that smart, Sparky. I see him merely cashing in on the general mood of the public, which is, of course, what the late night "comedians" do.
