A Muslim employee who works as a restaurant hostess at Disneyland Resort's Grand Californian hotel filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against the company Wednesday, charging she wasn't allowed to wear her hijab, a headscarf some Muslim women wear as a sign of modesty, in front of customers.
"Typically, somebody in an on-stage position like hers wouldn't wear something like that, that's not part of the costume," Brown told the AP. "We were trying to accommodate her with a backstage position that would allow her to work. We gave her a couple of different options and she chose not to take those."
Of course, she refused! How dare an employer infidel demand submission!!!! :banghead:

Not so long ago a waitress at I believe it was Friendlys was told that she and the other waitresses had a toddler and it was their birthday. They were to go out and bring him a cake and sing Happy Birthday to him. The one waitress who refused is a Jehovah's Wittiness and refused. She was fired and the labor board would not back her up.

Obviously you aren't familiar with how Disney does business, are ya?
Now, formerly being from behind the "Orange Curtain", and having had D-Land annual passes for a good chunk of my adult life there, you find out a few things about how Disney treats their employees. Now while there's a very good reason a lot of the former employees call it, "Mouseschwitz," they do try to make accommodations where possible.
However, when working for Mouseschwitz, one does NOT, EVER, leave character when in the "sight line" of the public. EVER.
She wanted to be different? Fine. She can be different somewhere else. I'm gonna take a wild ****ing guess here and say she's NOT the only Muslim employee in the Anaheim resorts (D-Land, Cal Adventure, Downtown Disney, or the hotels.) Just call me crazy.

A business has every right to enforce a dress code. This person needs to find a job that can accomodate her, not waste other's time and money. I can only hope that the commision shuts her down fast.
