2. Isn't the US government the majority stockholder in GM?
Edited on Wed Aug-18-10 10:14 PM by Rage for Order
The administration has an excellent opportunity to show that it supports a strong union work force. Will they step up to the plate and deliver?
But the Chinese are now a major stockholder in the Obama administration, so it all works out.

chinese-style slave wage contracting on US shores. "unionized" = lol.
At least the jobs aren't moving to China. :)

4. $12 an hour is criminally low.
I always wondered when outsourcing was going to turn into "insourcing". These companies just love the exploitative deal they've got going in other countries. It was only a matter of time when they would take advantage of the desperation here to impose the same stomach-turning crap.
Ah heck. I'll just bring it all over.

9. Because I'd be homeless if I didn't take it.
I used to be a UFCW member.
Now I work at a dry cleaners.
Slave mentality, apologist, what the **** ever. I'll go live and work for you if you give me room and board, because that's about all I'm getting out of this shit job.
Clearly you've never heard of doing what you have to to survive.

Just saw an article about GM wanting to do an IPO. The article went on to talk about how much GM OWED the tax payers ... what the hell? I was told by the MSM a couple of months ago that GM had paid it all back. Lying B*stards.

How so?
I guess minimum wage providers should be put in jail.
But anyway, as if we didn't see something like this coming. When do you want to predict the NEXT recalls will start happening? I'm not including the recent seat belt recalls.

More anti-Chinese bigotry for Frank to use in his novel.

Umm...hello! They are about to do an IPO.
Supposedly some of the the government shares will be sold. Want to bet that the money from that will count towards the loans that GM still owes the government?

Oh yeah.
The primitives--and not only Mrs. Alfred Packer--are notorious bigots, haters, racists, xenophobes, especially when it comes to the Celestial People.

I think $12/hr entry level is a heckuva lot closer to what it ought to be! In some cases, about double of what some of these union hacks are worth!

Of course, Obama isn't stupid, he's getting out before it tanks completely.
-
It would be pretty sweet if they could swindle the UAW into investing heavily from their pension fund!

It's gonna be close, he'd best hurry....

And yet they support anti union Asian auto makers, who build non union factories in right to work states.
They have no legitimate bitch about what GM does, or any business for that matter.

They paid off the "government loans" with TARP money.
How "convenient". :hammer:
