Conversation at the hair dresser's re: mosque

So I needed a hair cut (badly) and I went to fantastic Sam's (And lord it really has gone up)

Anyway the hair dresser asked where I am from? (I got an accent)... so I told her, and went into the family history and all that, including why dad don't particularly like the US... and the holocaust.

The other hair dresser is also a daughter of the holocaust, and we started talking about HOW the Mosque story raises alarm bells and how much the pattern is so damn similar to what happened in the Germany of the 1930s. The other had not thought about it in quite that way... so we had a short history lesson, as well as constitutional rights. I also called THIS a version of antisemitism. The funny one was the GUY sitting two seats down who asked... so if they wanted to build one two blocks from your house?

Fine by me. My only concern for ANY religious building would be how it would affect traffic patterns and zoning laws. If the zoning law allows any religious building, fine by me, Church, Synagogue, Mosque, Shinto Temple or the Church of the Great FSM... that last one I had to explain. He just sat there, then he went... that's not what we're fighting for in Iraq...

So I calmly asked him, what unit did you serve with?

None, just saying.

I pulled out my copy of the Constitution, handed him the page opened to the Bill of Rights and kindly asked him to READ the First Amendment, pay particular attention to the Establishment clause. Then pointed out that today it is the unpopular kids in the block... who's next? Jews? Catholics? We have a history of this crap in this country.
So the obvious question came about MY ties to the military. I took out my dependent's card and pointed to him that my husband was over there... he physically got small, realizing that yes I was not shitting him, and that yes I understood what that document stands for.

Ok, I saw this one last night but wasn't in the mood to drag it over.  This one bounces .....

Hey, Nadin ... wanna bring your copy of the Constitution over here?  Show me where it says we shouldn't be just a little bit pissed about someone wanting to build a mosque where a bunch of muslims killed a whole lot of our countrymen.

No one is telling them can't practice their religion.

It's a rather long thread and I don't have time to bring anything over.

Who carries a copy of the Constitution with them at all times?  Is that usually necessary when you go to the hairdresser?

Muslims can't rest until they kill the last Jew....it's in their holy book.

I'm sure nadinbrzezinski would be comfortable with a Nazi shrine next door if it didn't hinder traffic....you know....increase times on her dailey trips for dope.

Why the bloody hell would you give a hairdresser, you didn't even know your friggin life history when you are asked a simple question?  They just do that to be polite.  Personally, if I am getting my haircut, I would appreciate conversation at a minimum.  Stifle....and pay attention to what you are doing.  Sheesh!   :thatsright:

The Constitution doesn't carry any points the DUmbshits would care to argue.  Now if the Carter-fellating DUmbshit had said "Communist Manifesto", I might have believed it.

I'm still waiting for Nadine to come over to this site and tell me why she came to the most horriblest country on the face of the Earth when she could have stayed in her beloved socialist hell.....homeland.

Whatever else she is, she is a liar and a fraud.

I find it funny when these pieces of garbage want to piss all over the Constitution in most instances, but for the "victory" mosque, they want to pull out all the stops!

Of course, you're assuming that this little fable she weaved is true, correct?

By the way, would someone be willing to school me on what a "bouncy" is? I figured out most of the CC lexicon, but that one escapes me.  :o

Nadin is the most smarterest woman on the internets.  Just ask her.  She is an expert at just about anything ... run a search on her posts sometime.  Hell, I don't know why she isn't RUNNING FEMA.

There was a poster at DU a few years ago named Bouncy Ball that would post outlandish bullshit stories with dialogue quoted line for line.  It's gotten to the point where even the DUmmies have started using the term.  Nobody's seen BB for a while... she's probably gone into hiding.

The term made it into the Urban Dictionary thanks to dandi.

Thanks for making us look bad with your lynnthedim wannabe antics.

Is it possible that the OP is a Mole? just saying that because The Heritage Foundation advertises on Conservative Radio Shows and 1 of the advertisements are pocket Constitutions, and The Heritage Foundation sends them out free if you request them from their website.

I went in for the monthly head shavin' yesterday.

Talked to the "hairdresser" about a whole bunch of inane stuff, weather, wildlife and some of the natural attractions in the area, none of which included family history or politics (and it's only days away from the federal election here).

Have no idea whatsoever what her political opinion is and don't rightly care a toot.

Is it only DUmmies that must be "always on" and inflict their politics on everyone around ?

Well when have you ever known a DUmmy to turn something down that is free?

BTW they are pretty nice. I did send them a few dollars though to help pay the cost.

I used to work with a moonbat that had a printout copy of the Constitution tacked to his cubicle wall.  I highlighted the 10th amendment for him, but he still doesn't get it.

We're still friends, we just don't discuss politics.

First time I have ever heard of anyone who was rescued from a concentration camp .... I'm guessing that's what she means when she says her father was rescued from the Holocaust....hating Americans and the US.

All of those still in camps, and the rest who would have followed, would have been murdered if not for the American military.

Yeah, no kidding debk.  What a stupid story.

I have one of those Heritage Foundation constitutions sitting right here at my desk.  However, I don't carry it around in my purse, snatch it out and shove it in people's faces.  I went to the hairdresser yesterday too.  I managed to get through my appointment without forcing my politics down her throat, or listen to her pontificate about hers.  I mainly bitched about that baby shower from the Spa thread.   :-)

I'm really gettin' sick and tired of this "Constitutional" frikkin' BS!

Hey DOpey, it has absolutely nuttin' to do with any Constitutional or legal aspect! It has to do with Islam wanting to claim victory over us and with the 9/11 attack!

They want to build this across from hallowed ground to give us the finger! They will brag from now until doomsday about how they made us bend over to the will of Allah!

If your too dense to see that, perhaps you and your other anti-American slugs should stay the hell out if it! Quit ****in' lyin' about the reasons behind our protest!

FOAD!
