Title: Bathroom
Post by: BEG on August 17, 2010, 06:20:53 PM
My husband grouted yesterday. Where the corners meet you have to caulk (we got matching caulk) and he hasn't done that yet so the corners look a little weird. You also have to caulk, not grout around the bathtub and we can't do that until after the tub has been refinished. This bathroom is going so slow but I can't say a thing because he is doing it all by himself.  There still is two half walls that need grout.

What's that shelf made from?  Looks kind of skinny.

Very nice.  Makes me feel like I'm in a subway.

It's an insert made for showers but has some water proof coating that you just tile over. It's the largest they make. The shelf is made out of some sort of metal that has holes in it that the tile goes on the top and bottom.

He got these special end caps so he didn't have to miter the corners.

You have a handi man good for you.

My dream bathroom is to remove the tub completely, We have a separate shower and I would kick both out and make a shower like they have at the $500.00 a night Hotel rooms.

A steam room shower with 20 faucets and a seat for two, sort of a sand blast that uses water .

An enclosed toilet and bidet, by enclosed I mean a very fancy toilet stall so I can have privacy while Hubby shaves.  I would want a closet for towels and bed linen another small closet for soap, and personal items.

A jag in the wall for a washer dryer, darn I hate to move clothing etc all over the house to wash and dry them.    I rented a house with the washer dryer in the bath off the bedroom and loved it.

Lucky lady you are, I was surprised when my Hubby installed new faucets without flooding the house.
