Does anyone doubt for a second that, if this had been a Christian church, the DUmmies would be cheering like the French at Lindbergh's landing?

Muslim leaders to abandon plans for Ground Zero community center
Source: Ha'aretz
After weeks of heated debate over plans for an Islamic community center near Ground Zero - the site of the 9/11 attacks on New York - it seems Muslim leaders will soon back down, agreeing to move to a new site.
The decision follows a high-profile campaign against the project that included advertisements on New York buses showing images of the burning Twin Towers, an iconic landmark razed when al-Qaida terrorists flew packed passenger planes into them in 2001. The New York Republican party is also said to be planning a hostile television campaign.
Sources in New York said on Monday that Muslim religious and business leaders will announce plans to abandon the project in the next few days.

1. I certainly hope it isn't true. What a shame it will be if this project is abandoned.

4. Intolerance wins again!
But this won't stop the haters...they'll be looking for another mosque to use as a rallying cry. Without being able to hate someone or something, they'd have no reason to exist.

According to this, some people are more special than others. A church that got crushed is having a hard time getting permission to rebuild....but the Muslims...not so much.

See what happens when Americans get fed-up and stand together in large enough numbers?
-
Yeah, well, let's not get too happy too quick. Looks like they still want to build the mosque.
-
I posted this at Hannity's board, no idea what to believe, Haaretz is a leftist paper, but the Daily News said it can't verify the story, but why would a leftist paper publish this if it wasn't true?
-
I highly doubt they will scrap the plans on building the mosque there, unfortunately.
I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope I am wrong though!

The only thing though, this is reflecting negatively on Obama and some Democrats, this could be a move to save face for them.

It definitely will reflect negatively on Lord ZERO and the demosocialists.
Even if the mosque were scrapped, the economy and jobs are still not pointing in the right direction. Either way, I think they are going to feel butt hurt!! :lmao: :cheersmate:

It was intolerance that killed nearly 3000 people on 9/11.................

I went over and started to read the thread. It immediately turned gay. Somebody has discovered Greg Gutfeld's plan, and now they're squabbling over who is worse to Teh Gheys, Islam or Christianity.

73. Matthew Shepherd.
Do you think he was murdered for his wallet? I've been threatened, assaulted, harassed, and discriminated against in housing and in the workplace. I have no job because of anti-gay Christians. The difference is that here we have a Constitution that will lock Christians up for murdering gays... if there were no laws protecting us from murder, I have no doubt Christians would get out their pitchforks and start the slaughter, just like their counterparts in relatively lawless parts of the world.
You have no job because nobody wants to spend 8 hours per day with a perpetual victim with a chip on its shoulder. :sosad:

Gays are still considered to be people. Killing them was already against the law, DUmmie. Do a little research and see how teh Gheys are treated in Mooslim countries.

Oh my, a small tidbit from Wiki:
Based on the principles of the Qur'an and the Hadith, several eminent scholars of Islam, such as Imam Malik, Imam Shafi, Ahmad and Ishaaq have ruled that the person guilty of homosexuality should be stoned regardless of his married or unmarried nature

So Muslim intolerance is acceptable?

Dandi- The link in the DUmor's OP doesn't work anymore. Maybe it was yanked. It's obvious that SOMEONE doesn't want people to know that the project may be scraped.

I love this remark from a Republican aid regarding Bela Pelosi's arguing that it is all a conspiracy.

"If the speaker needs help finding the heart of the 'GOP GZM Conspiracy,' I urge her to ask Sasquatch," the aide told Fox News. "His office is behind the black helicopter hangar between the unicorn pen and the leprechaun's pot of gold."

I got a little ticked off at Michael Savage, I was listening to him in the car and he said Republicans have been silent on this issue, sure a few have been silent, and of course there's been a few (Christie comes to mind) who want to be loved by Democrats so they've come out in favor of the Mosque, then other Republicans have spoken out.

Word Up YO!
They're like the Ilumminati, those anti-gay Christians.
THEY are the reason We JUST Can't Have NICE Things. :thatsright:
My 1st cousin is gayer than Charles Nelson Reilly riding a greased Chippendale dancer at a pride parade. He recently retired from business in NYC and moved back here to the midwest with his partner. Where they live incredibly well on the profit they both made in a lifetime of hard work. Wierdly enough they were at the 4th of July family party with a 98% Christian family group and they had no issues. Also his partner thinks Obama is an idiot. Go figger.
