What is a decent living wage, in your opinion?

NOTE: I'M NOT ASKING WHAT YOU MAKE!

There's a minimum wage, a poverty line, a median household income, and I saw an article today on how much you have to be considered rich. How much is good enough? What does it take to make bills, put bread on the table, enjoy some vacation, and keep a roof over your head and a running vehicle or two.

I'll ask for two simple things

What is the amount you think represents a decent wage (as $/hour or $/year)?
In what state or region do you live?

..and if you have extra time, does one person need to make this much, or do two people need to make this amount to get by?

This should be interesting and fun.

Hey, the illegal aliens seem to live pretty good off of $7.50 an hr......and some dUmmie about a year ago said $8,000 a year is all anyone should be allowed to make. Sooooooooo, going by that, a 20 hr week at $7.50 ought to do it.

Now as for me and mine. we're going to work a little longer, work a little harder and also a little smarter and be one of the evil rich..... :-)

That must of been after he/she took a hit of their "medical" marijuana. Typical stupid DUmmie. :bird:

More than you DUmmys will ever earn - by WORKING for it. Remember, you DUmmys are the people demanding anyone making $75,000/year or more be taxed at a 90% rate. That leaves $7,500 annual to live on - for those that WORK for their wage. You DUmmies on the other hand, expect your $75,000/year be 'gifted' to you TAX EXEMPT to relieve the poverty you unjustly suffer under, while sitting on your fat psychotropic medications bloated asses. Of course there are all of those enormous expenses you have to pay for - Cheetos, cookies, ice cream, and the weed stash.

A union pig I know always says that the minimum wage should be $20 an hour. Always uses the term "living wage" and goes out of his way to state how much he cares about the poor. However, fails to mention that in his union contract has a clause that his wage is set at so much over whatever the MW is. So when MW is increased, he gets a raise!

Many union members are huge proponents of the "acceptable living wage" concept for one reason. To fill their own bellies.

Whatever a prospective employer is willing to pay me.  If I don't think it's enough, I'm always free to find one that WILL pay me what I think I'm worth.

Rush discusses this on occasion.  What would happen if the minimum wage were raised to say $20 or $30 or even $100 per hour?  The consequences would be so incredible, not just the DUmmies but a lot of people's heads would explode.  As mentioned above, loaves of bread and FREAKING everything would cost proportionally higher.  People would be no better off than they are now.

Why is it whenever I hear I Dummie discuss a "living wage" the first thought that comes to mind is that they are wanting something for nothing?

Ralph is right of course.  And it's not too tough.  Suddenly you have to pay your fry cook $30 an hour or whatever.  Goodbye Dollar Menu at Mickies.  Same thing for the stockboy at the grocery.  Goodbye canned corn for 50 cents.  Frycook and stockboy no better off, if they want to eat.

I pay the kids that help out around here 6 bucks and they earn every penny! I'm positive it would kill a DUmbass!

Oh, did I mention I've never had a complaint. They sure as hell would rather work here than McDucks!
