Title: Obama Snubs Governor Perry
Post by: SSG Snuggle Bunny on August 10, 2010, 05:15:05 PM
Because, you know, he doesn't have enough snobbish, tin-eared, King Louis XVI analogies flying around at the moment:

Quote
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry's meeting at the Austin airport with President Barack Obama on border security lasted a mere 34 seconds, and Perry had to hand a letter on the issue to presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett because Obama declined to personally accept it

Apparently Obama's hands were already full with reading material he had received from an earlier trip elsewhere:

We know what Obama likes to read, and it obviously isn't SB 1070.

Of course he refused it. He's a communist scum!
He doesn't want to do well for America. He bows down to dictators and kings. Goes on an "APOLOGY TOUR" for America's actions, making us look like a bunch of fools! I really dislike him! :censored: :bird:

I forgot my book when I took my girlfriend to the doctor yesterday. Picked up a No-News Weak and started to read something by Fareed Jackass-ia. Made it about two paragraphs before I went through the entire waiting room for a Sports Illustrated.

Can't say it shocks me that Oblamer reads that piece of scum, hack "journalist."

I catch Zakaria on PBS every once in a while.  He's ridiculous and about as accurate as Paul Krugman.

I thought the real news was that the DemonRat candidate for governor was no where to be found.  Another Dem distancing themselves from The Won.

I did too.

The fact that Gov Perry was there, to me...made it even more obvious that the Dem candidate snubbed Obama.

I saw Perry on Fox last night (early this morning?)....he said he wrote it down, because he figured that Obama wouldn't give him any more than what he did.

Regardless of political party, if the president shows up in the capital city, isn't it customary for them to spend a bit more time together than just a handshake?

I really don't know, since I don't live in a "capital", I haven't paid attention.

I do know that whenever a sitting president has come here, the mayor has spent some time with them....and we've had Republican mayors for 20 years.

I am sure it would be. He is a guest for the state and city.
