23. I got the begging campaigning call awhile back...

... and let the chirpy little debutante from the DNC know, in no uncertain terms, that I now support PROGRESSIVE candidates only. NEVER again will I contribute to the general till that funds blue dogs. I finished up by letting her know that's how we f* retards plan to do business from now on.

I don't think she was very happy. ;-)

39. I got a call too.

I got a call from the DNC last month asking for donations too. My response to her was, I support the Democrat Party, but I do not support the DNC. That I will be donating, but it will be directly to progressive candidates.

Lots of posts like this, and a few defenders.

It's a huge, gigantic bonfire.  I didn't have time to read it all.  First they went off on a tangent about Democrat vs. Democratic party.  Then they started to get mad.  Then word came about Gibbs sort of apologizing on PuffPo.  Then they got whipped into a frenzy, enraged.  You might want to spend 20 seconds scrollilng through and seeing samples.  It's fun to see their impotent fury.

It's at 150 recs, so I'm guessing there are a lot of Democrats who agree with Gibbs sentiment LOL.

I'm reading the mess of a thread that is and the DU people don't seem to realize that according to Pew, the left leaning pollster,  Pew found that 40 percent of voters “assessing their own political views” described themselves as conservative and that 36 percent felt their views were moderate–making the potential center-right coalition a whopping 76 percent of the electorate against just 22 percent who described themselves as liberal.

How many more hours until Gibbs tries to walk-back his comment?

He did already according to Huff Po:

Quote

In a statement to the Huffington Post, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs acknowledged that his recent broadside against the "professional left" was inartful, and called for renewed unity among the Democratic community.

They're all in a buzz over how the WH views them.  Of course Gibbs is correct, the left are nuts.  But Dear Leader courted them and now hasn't delivered the Marxist paradise they hoped to have at this point.  But he has no one to blame but himself for their criticism of him, minor as it has been.  When you court the insane and don't deliver, then when they act insane what did you expect?

They sound like we did four years ago shortly after the 2006 mid terms.

If what you mean is they are expressing that feeling of "you had your chance and you blew it," then I agree.  When it comes to the tone and overall emotional outbursts of the whole event, they got us beat by a million miles.  We were more like "live to fight another day" and they're more like "the sky is falling!"

Thing is, even the most lib politician knows that trying to implement the policies of those like the primitives would mean complete economic collapse.  Even they want to be seen as at least being competent as they view the word to mean.  Dear Leader will push the envelope only so far, and even that little of a push has caused what should have been a mild economic downturn into a race to the bottom.  It never occurs to the primitives that had he pushed even harder left, the economic conditions the country is currently experiencing would have been made worse exponentially.

Yeah that and how they are telling the DNC solicitors to shove it.
