Title: Attn: Coloradans
Post by: Mike220 on August 04, 2010, 05:40:34 PM
I hope you all are paid up on your taxes. Apparently my worthless moonbat of a sister and her even more worthless piece of shit husband have decided to up and move to Colorado Springs. And apparently their packing up and moving in a week or two.

No money, no education and no marketable skills should make it easy to make a living up there. If you count living off all the welfare that you can mooch as living. She can't hold a job, and he just refuses to work, choosing instead to live on welfare and occasional drug dealing to survive.

I do wonder if they know the cost of living is a lot higher than podunk E. Texas...

Enjoy.

Sorry, I'm just a little perturbed. I'm busting my ass to make something of myself and may not have a chance to leave Texas for several years while the lazy, good for nothing portion of my family is moving somewhere I've dreamed about while living solely off government largess. Granted, they'll end up on the street inside a year, but it still torques me off.

Dude.  I had a whole mess of friends move up to CO last year and here I sit.  They are finding that jobs and money ain't all that easy to come by up there.  I imagine some may very well meet Bobbo soon enough.  And here I sit.  In Texas.  In ONEHUNDREDANDFREAKINGDEGREES.

How do people even move if they have no money or a job?  Welfare checks don't pay for a U-Haul.  Assuming that is what they will be using to move across state lines.  Those moving trucks are expensive!  From Arizona to Nevada, it was $900 for two days.  Thank goodness it was part of traveling expenses for the company my husband is with since we moved due to his job promotion... but still!

You don't even want to know how much it cost me to move to NH.  That $5K "signing bonus"?  That and then some.  That also doesn't include closing costs on the house and the stuff I needed to get it up to bare minimum liveable standards.

So yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat.  Here for several years at least (thankfully I'm happy in my job for now) until I can get out of debt and the housing market recovers.

Meanwhile, a job with my EXACT description just posted in Wyoming for $45/hour plus "substantial overtime".  And the ex sits on her ass in CA in a house she hasn't made a payment on for at least six months, waiting for the bank to come and boot her ass.  Wonderful.  At least that's in her name ONLY.

Let's see, back in Jan 2008, it cost me $150 just to get to Texas to scout around for jobs and a place to live. While I was here, I spent an additional $600 is gas, food, lodging, etc. Another $150 to get back to MN. UHaul trailer rental was just over $700 (two trailers @ $350+ ea) Gas back to Texas was around $500.00 (10 mpg per truck & trailer vs the 17 mpg the truck got by itself) This didn't include any incidental expenses.

Apparently when they got the settlement for her car wreck a few months ago, one of the few smart choices they made was to pay a years rent on a house. They gave the landlord some sob story and he gave them the unused part back. So there's probably a couple grand. And she gets about $700 a month for disability.

Other than that, probably selling pills.

When I moved from Seattle back to Dallas, the truck and car trailer alone for a week was $1900. Then the gas was about another $500-600.

Stupid shit like this is why she's been disowned.
