Obama: Republicans want to 'bamboozle' voters this November
By Sam Youngman - 08/02/10 04:33 PM ET
President Obama told Democratic fundraisers Monday that Republicans are banking on voters having "amnesia" in the midterm elections.
"They have not come up with a single, solitary, new idea to address the challenges of the American people," Obama said. "They don’t have a single idea that’s different from George Bush’s ideas — not one."
The president said that instead of helping him and Democrats push for healthcare and financial regulatory reform, Republicans are "betting on amnesia."
"That’s what they’re counting on," Obama told a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Atlanta. "They’re counting on that you all forgot. They think that they can run the okey-doke on you. Bamboozle you."

Lets see the Dems mocking this, after all, You Betcha was the news of the day when Palin said it. IMO, run the Okey-Doke is a little bit more ridiculous :loser:

'O' must be the one with amnesia. He needs to remember just how wildly unpopular it was before they voted on it yet they still passed it. He needs to remember how wildly unpopular it STILL is.

Obama's juking and jiving ain't gonna help in the Nov. elections.

That's nice he flew to Atlanta to give a speech.
Obama went to support the Dem guy who's running for governor down there. The Dem guy was soooo thrilled that Obama came to speechify for him...that he went 100 miles away to a different campaign stop.... :evillaugh:

Today, Barack Obama is traveling to Atlanta, Georgia. Normally, this would be an occasion for rallies and other political celebrations, as well as a chance to raise a lot of money for close political campaigns. However, fellow Democrats who are running for office in that state do not appear to be particularly excited by the arrival of the leader of their party, according to a report from Channel 11 in Atlanta.
Former governor Roy Barnes, who is in a close race to reclaim the governorship, will be unable to attend. According to Barnes’ Campaign Manager, he will be campaigning in the middle and southern part of Georgia where he will be speaking to police groups and to farmers. It seems he was unable to change his schedule..................

How does one run an "okey-dokey" on someone?
What does that even mean?
Am I too young to get it?

I don't know what it means either.
I only heard "okey-dokey" used in place of "okay".
I have no clue what it means in the context he used it....

Don't get yourself all wee-wee'd up over it - there are alot of things Obama says without a teleprompter that make no sense.. :-)

Reminds me of the old show Taxi and Reverend Jim when he says, "Okie dokie!"
When Christopher Lloyd said it, it was funny. Obama, not so much.

That's the only place I know "okey-dokey" from as well.
I just don't think someone can run an "okay" on someone, because that makes no sense.
But I agree, let's all hope his teleprompter breaks and he is unable to get a new one so we can hear all the dumb crap that would end up coming out of his mouth when he improvises. lol

That's another one of his "Obama-isms" that I had never heard before. I assume that one means "to not get all pissy" about something. Neither one of which I would ever use in certain social situations.

He says the stupidest stuff when he's off prompter.
debk, that's pretty funny about Atlanta. (Get me out of here!)

This asshat has no right to claim that anyone wants to "bamboozle" voters, when he is the originator of "created or saved" jobs.

And insurance premiums will go down by 3000% and your boss will give you a raise. :lmao:
