What I saw in the VA hospital parking lot this morning
I had a medical appt. at the VA hospital this morning and after trolling the parking lot for 15 minutes, I finally found a spot to park and started my trek to the building. I couldn't help but notice the SUV parked near me that had several messages professionally printed on it. Stuff like "ObamaComrade," "I'm a straight, white conservative male. How else can I piss you off today?" a quote by Reagan on the back window and a sticker of Calvin pissing on the word "Socialism." You know, the usual right-wing shite. Of course, this guy didn't seem to have a problem taking advantage of VA SOCIALIZED MEDICINE but we all know this type has no sense of irony or understanding of nuance. Health care from the VA is an earned benefit you moron
I was tempted to leave a note under his wiper pointing out his hypocrisy but I was running late and for all I knew, he was there for an anal cyst or erectile dysfunction. I wouldn't want to be responsible for causing the guy to pull a stroke from tipping him over the edge even more into his obvious impotent rage although he is a putz. Kind of ironic you are saying he is unhinged yet a couple of bumperstickers got you angry

5. He might be like a few vets I know. Worthless drunks that
were equally as worthless when they were in the military. These are a small, but not tiny, percentage of the vets I know.
I've listened to them brag about staying drunk and stoned the whole time they served. Mostly Viet Nam era and a little later vets that never served in combat.
A couple years ago I rode along with a buddy taking one them to our nearest VA hospital to dry out. This after his second DUI within a year. He hoped voluntarily going into treatment would look good to the judge when his sentencing rolled around.
Some of these vets definitely didn't do much to earn the lifetime benefits we give them. yet you want people given money from the govt just for being born
I will say I know a few that did serve in combat that deserve to stay drunk if that's what they want. I can't blame them, and mean no disrespect to guys like that.

Typical liberal BS...conservatives don't deserve to retain the money they earn, the benefits they earn, the money they're forced to pay into SS and Medicare, yet are also supposedly the "selfish, greedy ones."
Reducing taxes is the same as spending government money...but increasing government spending on social programs is effective use of funds.

There was a drinking culture in the armed servaces in the 60's, I was there. I drank. But "drunk all the time" no way, even if we had wanted to , we were so poorly paid that it was impossible. Wen I seperated as an E-4, with a dependant and on seperate rations, I got $197 per MONTH. After paying rent and food for my wife and myself there was damned little for booze!
Drunks were officers or theaves, no one else had the money.....

VA health care is a BENEFIT one receives for sacrificing years of their lives for crap pay and hazardous working conditions in defense of this nation you ignorant POS. It's not a giveaway to someone just because they were accidentally born here. Of course you and your comrades are too stupid to realize that.
