On balance, I'm glad all those DoD documents got leaked
I recognize they could jeopardize some ongoing operations. I'm okay with that. I recognize they could jeopardize some personnel. I'm pragmatic about that.
I am VERY glad documents demonstrating higher than reported civilian casualties have been leaked.
I am VERY glad that a lot of bullshit we've been fed, first by repubicans and then now Democrats, can now be shown to be just that: bullshit.
These wars were never in our best interest. At BEST, Aghanistan, *at*the*start*, may have been for some good reason, but was mostly about revenge.
If all these leaked documents lead to even one day less war, it is worth it.
If all these leaked documents lead to even one of the war criminals that haunt the Halls of Power going to trial, that's gravy.

2. Whatever "collateral damage" may result from the leaks,
that damage would be immediately offset by all the lives saved by an early end to the mess.
The thing that is hardest for me to understand about the whole mess is that the Europeans went along with us, and are still there with us. Migod, we must have some really powerful blackmail going.

3. I agree. Factual information is always useful.
These documents cover the entire Bush Administrations prosecution of this war, but not that much of Obama's. It will be instructive to see how this mess progressed over time.
Both wars should be ended as soon as possible.
This could hurt President Bush, so it's a good thing, right?

5. obama made this his war with the escalation
the repubs have huddled and decided to call if folly..last week i posted a clip from huffington post with several repubs coming out against the war. Pat Buchanan for example and Ann Coulter..my jaw dropped.
I have always been opposed to these wars and lost respect when I heard Obama deliver Bushs' speech regarding the escalation. Strange forces are uniting against this war..the progressives, regular folk who have had enough, and the repubs for political advantage.
Obama needs to get out from under the MIC's thumb...how, I have no idea..but it appears there is no other solution.

6. Much of the current actions are inexplicable using conventional thought.
I agree, and it applies to almost all of Lord Zero's actions since taking office, not just military decisions.

Nice to know he's only practical about soldiers who are in harm's way. Sounds like the typical anti-American drivel from him.
Treasonous, without a doubt.

Treasonous DUmors that cannot be treated with chemo.

Aren't these the same people that wanted Karl Rove and Dick Cheney frog marched for exposing the non secret clearance for Valerie Plame? Who said that Judith Miller should rot in jail?

The only people even close to patriots at the DUmp are moles.

Treasonous asswipe.

Lead "treatments," at a minimum of 850 fps, would be a good starting place.

My thoughts exactly.

Where is this "Aghanistan" that Mr. Stinky speaks of?

It's one of the 57 states Barry Big Ears went to during his campaign
