My RW Fundie mother has had a change of heart!

27 years ago my mother became a Right Wing born again Christian. She bought into the whole Southern Baptist platform: women are inferior and men must be obeyed, the Bible is the literal word of God (talking snakes and all), evolution is a liberal myth and the universe was created 6,000 years ago, the End Times are near, and abortion is THE most important issue in politics. We barely spoke during the 2000 election, though I did tell her all about the election theft that I witnessed personally here in Florida (she had no comment). She barely said a word to me during the 2004 election either, so I knew that she was voting for Bush again. I continued to email her articles about everything from civilian deaths in Iraq to the erosion of the endangered species act, but rarely would she comment on anything (I didn't comment on them myself-I just passed them along). She worked in China as a missionary, so some of the articles I sent her about abuses of Chinese workers working for American companies had an effect. A story about Wal-Mart executives holding meetings at a strip club finally ended her patronage of those stores, though torture, domestic spying, lying us into war etc. etc. seemed to have no impact on her...or so I thought. Recently I received an email from her and at the very bottom she had written this:
"Re Tuesday's primary, I guess I threw my vote away: It went to Dennis Kucinich. I was surprised to see his name still on the ballot. I couldn't bring myself to vote for either Obama or Hillary, even though I must have received 6 recorded phone calls from her (none from O) in the week before the primary and at least 3 on the day of it. Maybe my vote for Kucinich will encourage him to try again!"
:wow:
Needless to say, I'm thrilled that I was finally able to get through to her! I have no doubt that she won't be voting for McCain, and there's a very real possibility that she may cast a vote for the Dem nominee in the GE, whoever it is. After all, she would have had to have registered as a Dem to have voted in the primary!

Give me a break,no one with a quarter of a brain would believe that kind of bs.
A fundementalist Christian in China would know very well where they had to worry about abuse coming from.

Well I guess 99.9999% of all the primitives believe it

It's a bouncy in more ways than one.
American missionaries were in China circa 1840-1947, when finally expelled by Mao tse-Tung.
Since Wal-Mart is involved in the story, the prevaricating primitive obviously isn't talking about Taiwan, and besides, a primitive wouldn't dare call Taiwan "China."
Either the primitive's mother is older than the Hills, or the primitive is lying.

Zero bongs. What is this, the thousandth "I converted a fundie" bouncy?

As a Southern Baptist I have to wonder when this "women are inferior and men must be obeyed" thing went into effect. Apparently I missed the memo.

BBZZZTTT!! No bongs!
You only get calls from the party you registered with. So if the mom was a "RW Fundy" she would be registered Republican and NOT have gotten calls from mrs. clinton nor hussein.
Sorry, but there has to be SOME plausibility.

Something tells me that all of the tripe that this moonbat e-mails her mother gets deleted and when she talks to her daughter, her mother smiles and says, "That's nice dear, have you taken your medication today yet?" At first I thought NO way would this idiot's mother just not be speaking to them over politics, but it is VERY likely if this moonbat couldn't shut his/her trap about it, which from the sound of it could very well be the case.
A "I converted my parent!" is truly a libtard's wet dream, as it coincides with their fantasy of going against authority (just like that of a 15 year old).

Then why did I get so many Hillary and Obama calls?

Is someone in your household independent?

So, mom has deeply held beliefs, brought about and honed by a lifetime of experience. Life's trials and joys and hardships haven't shaken them...BUT a few emails from her moonbat daughter and suddenly she has an epiphany?
Where the hell do they get the idea Christian men think women are inferior? My husband is my best friend. Neither of us has ever made a major decision without one another. We have a division of labor because it helps our family run more smoothly. Besides, I really have no desire to be and engineer and (lucky for me and our sons) he's had no desire to be a mother.
Someone should tell her when she gets on her high horse and spouts off about stuff she knows absolutely nothing about she just sounds like an ignorant fool.

The onset of Alzheimer's is a terrible, terrible thing to watch. Unless of course you are a DUmmy, then it is to be reveled in.
